Xperia X8 can run Skype. You can upgrade to Gingerbread but unofficial, you can find it from developer forum. I think Xperia X8 is better. Photo editing? You can search that applications on Google Play.

well, i would like to tell some things about my x8..
-i would like to disagree about the "no multi touch thing" because i could use the dual touch module..
-yes,it maybe force close some apps,but maybe this is because too much apps are occupying your RAM/memory, that's why.. i constantly check my running apps, and so i found out that greater than half of the phone memory is eaten by running processes..
-i've been using this phone for about 6months..try to use the internet on how to maximize your phone's usage,battery, and lag errors..it's all in the web..
-love x8..if you know how to fall in love with it.. ^_^

JigaR Mehta, 07 Mar 2012Fake claim that it supports upto 16 GB SD Cards. Even an 8GB card gets it "hanging around"well, i am using 16GB class 6 micro sdhc in my x8.. no lag at all..

im using experia x8 for less than one year. I think that it will be better if I buy x10 before. I am not satisfied because after 5 months, it keep on hanging.
Also, the touch screen is not so good. I asked some user who also using x8. Yes, they also agree that their phone also hang quite often.
