i was kinda forced to bcoz after a year and a bit with my k750i - the joystick died on me.
so the Z550i is a great (& cheap) replacement (despite the crapper camera!) ;p
i live in Australia too. y would u downgrade from the k750i. i hear its a great fone
The downside of this phone is its keypad; too difficult to send a quick SMS.
Can I listen to music keeping the flap of the phone closed ( unlike V3i Razr). Does package contain external memory? Is it louder than 6233? Whats the approx price in Indian market? Thanks!
A very good fone.I just bot one .It looks awesom....the only problem is FM quality...its not upto the mark..
Are you able to see the select & More button when you got to the Internet settings?
For the keys are working but these buttons doesn't show up in the display
i just got the phone yesterday, and i like the phone a lot. the only bad thing i can think about is the buttons are a little too small.
nice phone indeed , just hav 1 last week ,but anyone knows how to disable the security for some java apps bcause it always prompt "allow application to read user data " and "allow application to write user data"..it appears many times.."
is cover for this set is available????
is there any smart person who can tell me
Problems in Z550
1.in the xternal screen ,if the incoming number is new,it keeps rolling and you have to wait another 4 second for readign the number when the phone is ringing
2.Memory card too costly
3.Battery life is very average
4.For me, too many missed calls due to the quality of the speaker in a average noisy environment
5.Camera picture quality is very average
6.Voice recorder is average
7.general SE issue, when you see a missed call or received call, the number shows as 2 part .So too difficult to read. It's 2 line display for each numbe and part of number on one line and date are shown and in the next instant rest of the number is shown.and these images keeps toggling
Well no one else but Sony make M2 cards at the moment. I heard though, at Three shops 1GB of memory costs $99.
hi there~ thanks for your information, i guess Z550 will be my next phone =)
thanks again to shaliron ^_^
i got this phone about 2wks ago now, after deciding to "downgrade" from my k750i...and it's awesome! in my opinion, the simplicity of the external screen is genius.
my only question - are all brands of memory cards compatible with it or only sony ones?
(also, i live in perth, so if anyone knows where there are good prices, please let me know too)
has anyone upgraded firmware to R6CA009-17.10.06 ?
Can any1 help me out plzz plzzz plzzz plzzz plzzz
My hand is used to heavy sweating,,plz tell whther there is cover for this flap set (z550i)....plz pzlz plz
Yeah, but very little. It moves a tiny bit (less than 1mm) left and right when closed but it's pretty sturdy. Nothing that you wouldn't expect, and I know some worse examples of other phones.
- i'm using SE T630, when i receive calls, the phone has a somewhat "default" ring tone before my prefered ringtone rings, does this phone the same too?
No, there's no default ring before the ascending ringtone. Nothing like that.
- how long is the charging time from empty to full?
No, nothing that long. I think it is max 2.5 hours, maybe two hours, haven't timed it myself but it seems to be pretty fast.
- does this phone play mp3 with a quality as good as W800 or other model walkman phone?
Quality is just as good as a Walkman phone. It even has the same media player as the W800, but it's not orange and it doesn't have megabass.
- does the outer display show misscalls, messages etc?
Yeah, it's really imformative for its size. It can show the clock, battery life, signal strength, missed calls, messages, Bluetooth, Java application, whether the radio is turned on or not, whether a handsfree is plugged in, whether a different profile is on and when the media player is on, it shows song name.
It shows up to two icons apart from the signal and battery at once.
