The battery life is very bad. It could't stand even a day, with those lots features.
The speaker's not loud enough in the traffic.
Battery life is just great,
one of the best in market. The phone is just good enough to keep you playing all day with him, in that case you must recharge it every night, with normal use phone hold for abouth 3-4 days or more
can someone please tell about the battery life of the phone , im really confused after reading the reviews
somebody says its great , whereas some1 says it sucks
i am really considering to buy this phone within a day or two . My useage is listening to mp3 for about an hour daily , 20-25 sms and 30 mins of calling
so can any 1 please tell how much should the phone's battery last
Yes pathetic battery life, I used it heavily in terms of talking, messaging, radio & Mp3's and must say i was dissapointed with the way the battery life has come down.
The Radio is kewl and the sound quality is excellent when used with a good pair of headphones. The games of Blackdeal, Puzzleslider and Quadrapop could have been better.
The Mem Card is costly but adds the zing to the phone.
But still I believe that the phone is for the true lovers of Sony Ericsson. I believe that it could have been more easy to use. I wouldn't say that it is a must buy :)
I brought Sony Ericsson Z550i Yesterday, and must say its got load of cool features including funky camera and kewl and clear display.
The big turn offs are pathetic battery life and difficulty in opening with one hand.
Its definetly not a must buy.
The 6131 batterylife sucks due to the 2 color screens, also the inner screen doesn't have protective glass (it's like a TFT monitor of a computer, try pressing it with your finger) The auto-open mechanism also gives it more chance to get broken. The only thing I liked about the 6131 is the quality of the screens but it costs battery.
Today i finally got my 512 memory card, 27 euros :P
people i have read each and every comment on z550i and i m gonna buy this fone tomorrow...just wanna thank all the guys for taking time and posting comments that are so helpful for one time buyers like me to make the most appropriate choice..kudos to all of u//
The playback quality through the speaker is very clear but it lacks bass and it's not very loud. Playback quality through the orignal headset is very good, I'm now using my Senheisser headphones and it's even better.
Camera quality is good with enough lighting but when it's dark their is alot of noise in the picture.
Screen size is 176 x 220 pixels, 30 x 37 mm
There are no changeable covers and the screen picture is very vivid and bright
i am thinking of purchasing this phone can anyone tell me what the screen size is and whether it has changable covers and what the screen picture is like.
Ramakrishna, I can answer you 2 questions about audio and video. Keep in mind I do not own this, but the info i'm providing is from the SE user guide
.mp3 (192 kbit/s for local playback)
.3gp (audio encoded in AAC or AMR, able to playback AAC_)
.mid (level 1 with 40 voices polyphony)
.mp4 (video: mpeg4, audio: AAC or AMR)
.3gp (video mpeg4 or H.263, audio: AAC or AMR, able to play back AAC+)
anyone who owns this phone, pls tell us about the playback quality and loudness of the sound.
I'm thinking of buying this mobile. I'm more concerned about the multimedia things.
Can any one tell me abt the following
1. Is the audio playback quality good?
2. What kind of audio formats is supported?
3. How is the camera quality?
4. What kind of video format is supported?
Please help me?
I'm interested in buying this phone, but while browsing for user reviews in some of the websites like this one I found one user saying that this phone hangs ofter and he has prescribed not to buy this one.
Will the users of this phone kindly tell their experience with this phone.
I bought this phone 3 weeks ago, and generally Im very pleased with it. The keyboard and overal buildquality-feel stands out positively. A minor designflaw though: opening this phone with only one hand is slightly harder then expected, since the inner edges of this phone is not slanted inwards that much.
Maximum charging time is about 2.5 hours.
Both your questions have already been answered some time ago but I will provide you with the direct answers this time round. The outer screen does show Caller-ID information as well as a host of other details such as whether bluetooth is turned on, missed calls, incoming messages, etc.... The display is amazingly informative considering its size.
This is meant to be a rather basic phone and so the default package does not come with any memory cards.
Sony Ericsson may run promotions in certain countries though, like for example in Singapore, a 256MB M2 Card is now bundled free with the phone when it's purchased from an authorized retailer.
Does the outer screen also show the no. or contact person calling?
how much MB memory card is coming along with the handset i mean...
Thanx in advance
but im still pondering over the fact that itz a s.e not a nokia . Afterall im still a stundent and not earning so i gotta be carefull where my saved pocketmoney goes :-p
also how long does it take to fully charge the phone ( is it anywhere close to nokia )
It has been mentioned before, again a few pages ago. On my average use of 10 minutes of talk time a day plus quite a bit of messaging, I average about 3 days between charges. 2 days if you are a heavy user.
Not sure how music playback will impact the battery life on the phone because I am using a dedicated MP3 player (Samsung YP-T8Z) for that.
I like the phone very much, but I would suggest reading through the opinions and form your own. After all, individual preferences differ from person to person.
Use the K750i themes. There are tons to download from:
Membership is free.
There is a rather boring card game called Blackdeal. Not sure if there are any other as I had deleted a lot of the original items and have replaced them with my own content.
Because the OS is so similar to that of K750i, java games that work on K750i will work perfectly on this phone.
I believe you had already ready through the postings and so, your first 4 questions would have already been answered.
Regarding the video streaming issue, this is not a 3G phone and so 3G video streaming is not supported.
GPRS performance is exactly the same as K750i. I get about 40kbps for game downloads.
