I see so much bitching about screen size and format. Who wants to bet that after a year or so almost every other phone manufacturer will use this screen format? I swear to God , every time Sony does something new there is an army of idiots bashing as if it's the antichrist in person. This looks a lot like they do it on purpose. I am a Sony fan but i never came here to talk crap about other brands. I simply don't care about other brands. For me they simply have no appeal.

I have to tell you that after unboxing Sony Xperia 1 couple hours today .. it's simply awesome with the best watching experience for handy screen suite your palm besides it's clarity powerful sound .. the best ever for watching movies and playing Games .. the best mobile from SONY ever .. Thanks SONY

Ugliest long phone design ever made by sony. Used to be sony fan but not anymore for the last 7 years. Havent seen any phone worth buying.

I am living in Saudi Arabia. I have the Xperia 1 imported from Hongkong for 2 weeks now. Yes, battery capacity is lesser than Samsung Note 9 that I also currently own for 1 year. Both of them drained after 12 hours. I can say that it is not always on the battery capacity but on how the manufacturer configures their mobile phone to utilize the power on android OS. Note 9 is good in taking still photos but Xperia is great far more that other mobile phone in taking videos. I am a music lover and loves watching videos while travelling which Sony Xperia can provides me with unequalled experience compare to other mobile phone brands available nowadays.

gaaron, 04 Sep 2019note 10 is better by just looking at the battery capacity...my girlfriend has note 10+ its big... moreScreen is much better on 1, camera and connectivity are flawless and even speed it's better. Look on youtube tests. Note 10+ doesn't add nothing great but its design and a little more battery for that expensive price, pen?! Snobs and 'princesses' to buy it...

Anonymous, 28 Aug 2019Xperia 1 or Note 10 note 10 is better by just looking at the battery capacity...my girlfriend has note 10+ its big but its worth it good for watching movies on the go and playing games like pubg.. note is tall and wide unlike this Xperia 1 its tall bit not wide...

i use to be sony fanboy but when i realize i only like sony for the brand and the gimmicks...and its king of over heat not start phone...back then when x series come out on 2006 i was amazing but the problem is the battery its only 2700 so i skip it i thought nxt phone will have large battery but it never happened til now ...and i also thought that camare on sony phone is good since they are best in photos but again cheper phone beat sony phone really disappointed...

I currently use an Xperia Z2( which I have it for almost five years). It is a good phone. I've changed it's battery once, and nothing else. I need to buy a new phone because my old Z2, it's starting to freeze, and sometimes it's not responding. Is it a good choice to stay with the same brand and choose the newest Xperia 1, or change and go with Samsung Galaxy S10+ or IPhone? I'm interested in battery life, sound ( because I am an audiophile - Spotify) and filming quality. Thank you.

This is a good phone from Sony and to those who say against the Sony never own any Sony phone before they just being a troll and say something they never knew about. Sony is a king of smartphone like Samsung and LG. Other brands are just trash.
