Bionz for Xperia is software.
X1 Extreme /Ultimate are hardware for Sony TVs
X1 for Xperia 1 is software.
There is no space for hardware versions of Bionz and X1 Extreme inside a phone. Not easy to make a small mobile version of them.
Probably next MWC , JDi may be able to suppy oled for Sony Mobile. But dont expect STE oled. It is very expensive tech. Not even Bravia have it.
Great news is that they already have TV sized screens of Crystal LED. Contrast is same 1 million of oled, can be brighter and no burn in ....

The Xperia 1 has been CONFIRMED to have OIS on 2 of its 3 main camera lenses.............the main/wide lens and the telephoto one ARE CONFIRMED to have OIS as well as EIS. It's only the ultra-wide lens that doesn't have it, which I'm fine with I guess.
On top of that, it has several features which have been shared by their luxury line dept, Alpha, including Eye AF, Auto-Exposure, etc.

Please do your research before lying here. You should know that only one single part of this phone is made by Sony and that's the camera sensor. Sony outsources every other part to numerous other companies. Sony just doesn't have the necessary R&R these days.

In low light, Sony captured a picture with 1\8 shutter speed. Actually, you can't take a picture in that speed in real world. Because this phone doesn't have OIS and everything that is moving gets blurry. While Huawei got that in 1/26 and nothing gets blurry. Plus, Sony is over-sharpening but Huawei is not. You can see artifacts easily on sony, especially in low light, but there is no sign of that in Huawei.

All Sony gets from LG is basic oled screen substrate, all additional enhancements are compliments of Sony tech.

Plus Sony has always been BETTER than Samsung when it comes to displaying color accuracy. Samsung tends to veer towards "warmer color tones", while Sony doesn't.
Man I dunno about you, but I'm getting RESTLESS waiting for the 1 to be released. WTF?!!

SamsungMate already made "a disclaimer" about Xperia 1 screen in their S10 screen marketing, even before the device is out.
Read this:
"As a result, for Smartphones it is absolutely pointless to further increase the display resolution and pixels per inch (ppi) up to 4K (3940x2160 pixels) for a silly marketing wild goose chase into the stratosphere, with no visual benefit for humans!"
So obviously, without any further adue, sponsored revs are already ready to trash Xperias 1 screen...
But there it is, real side by side view, and there is no doubt about it... Xperia 1 is just a level up.

You should scale down the pixel to 12MP for both at the standard and the noise isn't much different for both phone, but when XZ3 scale up as 19MP you can find the image size is bigger than 12MP then the noise at the color pencil just can see it, but we use the standard 12MP and compare the detail between Huawei P20 and Sony XZ3 the XZ3 clearly the winner, as you can find the word ' the governor and company of the bank of England' on the currency notes clearly on XZ3 while the Huawei is gone!! If you compare the detail on the currency note which is the Charles Darwin one, the Huawei use the "beauty" mode wipe the wrinkles of the portrait while you can find all the details on XZ3!! If you compare these still can't know, you can compare the braid with a donkey one, the Huawei again wipe all the texture and looks much artificially while all the texture you can only find it on XZ3!! If the color correction is excellent you should get all the color arigorim much possible same as XZ3, if you don't believe me please compare the wooden abacus, the Huawei show it yellowish power on the wooden surface, while XZ3 restore the right color. If you still don't know the color comparison, please see the decor star the Huawei dull color arigorim burn the red color, while XZ3 has the right red color on the decor star.

They both got identical texture, details, color captured, but XZ3 comes with messy fuzzy noisy both on the edge & color, especially low lights. UltimateZeroSeconds, 18 Apr 2019Im sure he will comeback with another link from unreputable source. You don't even go and see the Gsmarena's camera comparison Charts for XZ3, why should I waste my precious time on you. That's chart show XZ3 has more detail to reproduction for better image quality.
