Just flash your Xperia 1 ... moreActually you can flash any ROM, BUT Remember the JP Model has very different NFC protocol which encrypted by the OS, if you flash the Global Rom it means the NFC is gone because the Japan NFC driver can not be found on Global Rom

The conclusion sony still support but lazy to make the ROM altough the prices similar like Oppo and Samsung class

After more than 3 years of using Xperia 1 is blazing fast. Can be much better optimized and uses mods Gcam alongside with its base camera that is great. The only downside is the battery backup because the battery is smaller not because in time depletes faster compared to any other trademark, but really can beat overall speed even the Iphone 13 with some settings, and it's clean android being cheaper now... Simply better: 1.

1. can anyone using this Sony Xperia 1 confirm if Sony is still proving update(android security)?
2. what is the last update date and reference number?
3. any idea how long will Sony provide android update? 2 years? 3 years? after release?
im looking for non China phone with longest security support.
Sony(Japan) = ?
Asus(Taiwan) only 2 years.
Samsung(Korea) 3/4 years.
Fairphone(Netherlands) 5 years (too costly).
