Also touch sound has changed to Google stock.
I tried using the new gesture navigation and I didn't find it comfortable at all, so returned to using the previous gesture controls.

this phone should have a headphone jack at this price lmao and at least a 4000 battery and no wireless charging and ethernet support kind of disappointing

Anonymous, 26 Nov 2019Yeah, I mean if you prefer the Sony brand that's fine but let's not pretend they are objective... moreI switched from the Xiaomi MI9 to Xperia 5, and even though they have the same specs on paper, Sony is miles away when it comes to user experience and what you get for the money. The software is better optimized, the display accuracy and clarity is far better on the Xperia, the sound quality is light years ahead, and overall performance is better (I would get 35fps on the MI9 with all the boosts on, whereas I get 60fps on the Xperia out of the box). Cameras are on par though when it comes to point and shoot, but Xperia's manual mode is far superior.

Have you even tried using it? It delivers greatly enjoyable multimedia experience.
Someone wrote about poor fingerprint scanner. Not true in my experience. Mine works really well (not as fast as previous XZ Premium, but very reliable). BTV side sense is also very useful and works fine).
Most of the critics here criticise based on the phone's image on their screens and some youtubers' videos.
Not trying to say this phone is better than any other, but it is as good as some of the latest phones from Samsung, Apple and other. Maybe Sony phones are not for everyone, but I prefer them.
When the price and spec. sheet is one's priority, it is really hard to be objective. So not for everyone to comprehend.

If they were, they wouldn't be lost the market share and be trailing behind Apple, Samsung, Huawei, Xiaomi, etc. You can find better specs and cameras for less money than Sony's premium.

The Xperia 1 is one of the best designs of 2019 and I wish that it was NOT glossy.

No night mode, and no google camera support either. Small battery, no wireless charging, no superfast charging. There are bezels but without proper face recognition hardware. No ultrasonic or optical indisplay fingerprint reader. And the capasitive fp fails most of time..

Phone is a marvel to look at, screen is probably the best you can find of any current mobile phones out there. So, I call you statement misleading and malicious without any facts to support your claims.

Currently have a pixel 3xl and experiencing very poor call quality, dropped calls constantly! Reading online it appears to be a hardware issue rather than software. Anyway Sony owners, I am thinking of buying an Experia 1/5 or wait for the new top of the range. The last Sony phone I owned was a Sony Ericsson some 15 years + ago. I've read call quality is exceptional on Sony phones, can you give me your opinions guys? Thanks!

I would like to see a phone screen 4K when I open the menu programs and browse and I have used it before sony z5 4k and sony xz 4k but I prefer z5 4k because all devices work the same task unless Sony wants to come With a 4K phone and not a device when playing video and pictures and there was an update that activates that feature 🤔

Its the rest of the specs especially price point made them lagging behind.

Their software skill is bad for giant company. Their skill is only raising the number, 2K, 4K, 8K. 48mp, and implementing old tech.
