Sure, the other phone other than both are bigger, especially 2017 and after that, with the rising phone above 6.4"+, but I only frontally mentioned S10e in my comment, because Xperia 5 competitor was only either Pixel 4 or S10e. We're not even talking about 16:9 projection of a screen diagonal that resulted in a marginal difference of a screen diagonal and optimization of battery management here, at all.
Xperia 10 II is equally smaller to Xperia 5 in terms of dimension, screen area, diagonal and resolution, even type of screen display (OLED). If 3140 mAh with more powerful SD855 on Xperia 5 resulted in 96hr ER, you can imagine how high the ER on Xperia 10 with a bigger 3600 mAh with more efficient SD665.

The less battery life it consumes. Most phones from 2017 till date is hovering around 6.4, 6.5, 6.7, 8 ,9 inches. , Xperia 5 is 6.1 inches. It makes a difference.
Can someone here has the same issue with me? I cannot connect to the internet via mobile data even Settings for internet & mms is downloaded.
Lioneer, 06 Jun 2020I dont understand why xperia 10 II use old xperia home app version 10, so now i cant change gr... moreAlbum doesnt work but at least email app and my favorite last call widget (from my old xperia sp) works propely ( i installed it from APKs).
There is an option to hide navigation bar at bottom and use gests bu i dont try it.
I rather would get app witch change this boring icons to another:P
And whats about sound lvl in your videos? is it normal? i have an issue with that- i do wipe, safe mode, turn off camera, change region settings, install another cam apps and my stock camera still recording video with very very low sound volume. Services tests of both microphone shows that both work normally. In safe mode sound is a little bit louder and when i installed another cam s app is louder too but IMO only minimally.
So i am couries is this onlyu my issue (poland) or u or anyone else had the same problem.
Rest (maybe without loudspeaker and smth Voice call quality) looks really great at this device.
In Poland regular prize is lower then pre orders at about 30-35 euro (from 1799 to 1649 zlotych)
I dont understand why xperia 10 II use old xperia home app version 10, so now i cant change grid or hide icon white border. And "sony album" application from earlier post here is not working.
How it is possible that face unlcok is not available?
Will it get always on display? i cant fined it in the user manual..
Yesterday i maked fix software (Xperia companion) and later i done wipe. After this i still hav e problems with microphone.
When phone run first i make an video (no app instaled - on;ly stock ones). Quality of video is good but sound recorded is realy poor. Loud talking wchich i recorded ois only heard when i set up volume up to maximum and even then it is quiet.
I can't do anything more now i am waiting for update. If it doen't help i conside sending back phone to support.
I hope that its only problem on my devive.
Shivam Ranshur, 04 Jun 2020Does it support. LDACAll phones with android 8 or later has LDAC.
Sony gave to google, so they can have more ppl buying their headphones.
Does it support. LDAC
superpup, 04 Jun 2020It's fine for me. Maybe you're covering up the mic with your fingerWhen i turn on device in a safe mode sound in video taken in this mode is louder. It looks like some app must "block" microphone. I fear that wipe is only way to fix it

superpup, 04 Jun 2020It's fine for me. Maybe you're covering up the mic with your fingerI make an video- my doughter was singing loud nest to phone and about 2meters from camera. when i watch this movie i do not heard anything unlease i put my ear nest to speaker (half sound lvl) . When i set off multimedia sound to maximum i heard the movie sound in "normal" level IMO. I send it to another phone (redmi note 8t) and it was minimally louder on max volume.
Microphone and speaker slots are clear do i dont knoew what a problem is (or Is there any problem). I wait for an update or make a fix option in the Xperia Companion.
BTW i took a few photo and video in home and outdoor (sun with shaddows-late afternoom walk ) and photo and video quality is real nice - i use automatic mode.
At the moment my onlyminus is speaker and microphone issue (?).

As a flagship phone i'd say. Also I'm using Tidal master quality.. Tidal has released some albums for Dolby Atmos supporting phones. With it the "music scene" is really wide and nice. Not like a cheap surround mode sometimes which totally destroys music quality. But it's not a must have funtion for me when I prefer music as it should sound an an artist record. Must have for me is:
- Oled / amoled screen (infinite contrast)
- ip ranting (min. IP 65)
- very good or even excellent audio performance
- approx 6" screen
- decent performance and good battery

And 3aXL cost more where I can buy it

- headphone jack
- SD card slot
- 1 year younger
- one hand operation (due to smaller width)
- triple lenses camera
- NOT made in China (most important for me)
If the 10 II has dual front speakers then it would be perfect (for me anyway)
Not sure if links are allowed in comments, but phone arena posted their 10 ii review, saying it "shows what a mid-ranger phone should be"
It's an even more barebones review than they do here, but if you're looking for more info here you go
