just compared camera of 10 plus with 10 mk3 and plus was more clear and brighter

Bought it at launch for heavily daily use. Now I replaced new battery, shell and touch screen pannel. The phone itself is super easy to diy. Last oem update was android10, but thankfully it has lineageos supported. It runs super smooth with gapps install now.

Sony's phone now a days are total garbage, unlike on the early 2000s. Taking pride on a high price when those other competitor had better specs at low price. Intelligent gadget enthusiasts wont buy your expensive trash low capability phone. You should have put your phones in a bin pour some gasoline and light it up.

i own the Chinese version 6 gb ram i changed it to global with Google Android 10 .. no more screen issues it works like damn charn ... camera slightly better but big boom with Gcam , and its has guesters and dark mode on Android 10 and super fast .. battery seems also better one day usage .
guya the phone u blame became great now maybe because i have 6 ram version i dont know.

Utter garbage. Shame on Sony. I bought this this thinking it'd be nice to go with as their brand suggests quality, pro-grade electronics. I've owned the phone for a little more than six months and it is slowly breaking down, component by component. First the fingerprint sensor stopped working. Then the touch screen starting developing a mind of its own; I'm constantly having to lock the screen and unlock it, or even restart the phone just to get the touch screen to work. The latest is that the phone now randomly shuts off and will not come back on without performing a full reset.
Even if it weren't falling apart, the form factor has been horribly user-unfriendly from the beginning. It's hard to keep hold of it when you're using it because it's so awkwardly weighted. Very challenging to hold the phone without activating the edges of the touch screen. The performance is terrible too, regardless of specs. Yes, it can take video in 4k but it bogs down when trying to play that video back! Pathetic. Sony's application suite is aggressively bad - especially the camera and gallery apps. Not just confusing and stupid to use, but extremely buggy as well.
I will never buy a sony product again.

I want SONY MOBILE to build an XPERIA for me, with 7,8inch 510gb HDD and 12gb of RAM.. also with 256mp.. they must impress me with Infrared feature, with ADRENO 998.

Anonymous, 16 Jan 2021Motorola One Vision beats the crap out of this one.... Agreed - I have one and had a 10 plus before. 10 Plus no face unlock, no raise to wake and FPR works like 50% time.

Bezels are there in order to fit other hardware. People need to stop being so obsessed with bezelless designs, including manufacturers. Focus on real innovations, rather than smaller bezels and bigger screens.

I got one for my daughter, after my trials with SailfishOS didn't work out, and whilst setting up the phone I wanted to use the shared uSD slot, only to find it's not shared, there is a tray for two SIM cards plus behind the door a uSD slot.

If Sony can trim down the top bezel while keeping that same unique front screen design, it can easily be a solid design winner. I still can't love the 10 Mk2 and 10 Mk3 design despite a much potent hardware upgrade. This is still my top favourite smartphone design to date.
Speaking of this particular phone, we are still yet to see any brand new successor to date. There was supposed to be a follow up with Snapdragon 720G chipset, but Sony binned it because they want to focus on 5G. If Sony can release a brand new 5G successor of this phone with at least a Snapdragon 750G chipset, it can be a hot seller. I don't think it will cannibalize the flagship model sales, particularly because of the less powerful chipset and camera hardware.

I definitely hope that Sony would retain the styling of this phone. Even the Mk2 and Mk3 Xperia 10 has a little chin at the bottom. This one doesn't, and it look so cool. I definitely still prefer to have that top bezel, but I'm okay with it being a little smaller.
