Either you are bad at math or don't realize the resolution is closer to 4K than to QHD.

5G, 4k90hz screen in a 4000 mAh of battery. If it last 5 hours without recharge will be impressive.

r, 09 Apr 2020why so poor front camera...They did kind of cheap out on that part. I personally don't care about taking pics of myself everyday, but I understand that a lot of people do. So I think they missed the mark a bit there to a big audience of instagram users or snapchat.

Seriously, how do you have the balls to come on here and say this phone is not 4K (UHD)?
QHD shouldn't even be mentioned here as that is the standard for 2K (which surprisingly is below 4K). If 1644 x 3840 is not 4K (which it is), then what is 1600 x 3840 (12:5)?

sony in their most high end tvs uses UHD only nothing else, sony most high end cameras only record UHD nothing else. not self made cutt crop of it !!! so one records a video with their Sony A7 (all 4 generations) dslr super camera series but can't even watch it at 1:1 on this phone without it being down scaled back to qhd like any other phone out there. so how ironic is this specially with all the hype about this phone display ?
that's where UHD is UHD and nothing else matters. so yeah i don't care.
sony was the only company that resisted most against making these useless cropped bezel-less screens as all companies were removing bezels but sony didn't. they even made true UHD in their flagships in the past. but in the end they had to join the bezel-less market phones to be able to keep their sales so they stepped over their standards as they had no other choice , don't make this sound like a sony standard while it is not and it won't be and they make their high end products only with UHD standard . sony will never make their DSLR cameras record at this resolution and will never make their tvs like this. this is only due to removing bezels and having to make taller (wider) screens.
if it was sony choice alone they would make proper UHD phones as they showed in that past that's what they want. but phone market went the other way. i got couple sony products myself like tv and camera with best picture among all other companies but i just don't buy a hype fake advertisement not from sony not from any other company.

Worsening the situation that 4K divided into morr, like 4K 3840 and 4K UHD as one of the most popular one. Besides, Sony said it "4K" not UHD, like the others said over and over. Unlike HD, FHD and QHD, 4K wasn't never has exact proper standard, therefore any manufacturers will set their own 4K (with Sony choosing 3840x2160p for 16:9 contents and 3840x1644p for 21:9 contents). But one thing is sure, 4K can be applied to a screen or content that meet the 3840 minimum, not 2160. Remember, this is only to do with the screen ratio adjustment and capabilities of the chipset (S865 only capable displaying of 3840x2160 at 60Hz, same one from Snapdragon 810, so if by your logic of 2160 is the one should be accounted, then it will be 5040x2160 (5K), which no chipset are capable, even S865, and 5K are highly uncommon)
This only discussing the 4K thing, a new standard milestone from 5-6 years ago, we haven't reach the 8K, which's gonna be more complicated, as 8K just getting started... You should give Qualcomm a suggestion mail to upgrade the capabilities to display 8K, so your wishes of your persistence of "2160" in 4K granted, so Sony could go to 5040x2160 in Xperia 1 Mark III... -_-
