Some of the key features which u don't find in Samsung:

-4K HDR Display
- 4k HDR recording at 60fps & 2k recording at 120fps
- God tier 20 fps AF/AE with Eye AF
- Legendary Zeiss lens
- Largest pixel sensor size by any smartphone
- 21:9 display
- Sexy design without ugly notches and punch holes (+ fits good in one hand)
- Fast processor unlike lousy exynos (SD by samsung is only released in USA)
- dual front end facing speakers
- 360 degree audio function + Dolby Atmos tuned by Sony pictures/Music
-Photo pro & Cinema Pro
- Camera shutter button

Key fetaures compared to last year Xperia 1:
- 8GB ram
- Wireless charging
- Headphones jack + no audio losses like in BT
- Motionblur reduction (90Hz equivalent)
- 4000mah
- power button as fingerprint scanner
- UFS 3.0

PS: Last year 6GB Xperia and iPhone performed on par with 12GB ram Samsung and OnePlus in speed test. This also proves how crap Samsung and OP ram management is. Anything over 8GB ram is nonsense (even with 3 chrome tabs open). Over 12Gb is stupidity and where Mr.Silly lives

Anonymous, 30 Mar 2020Samsung with nona cell can do 3 shot HDR Without ghosting. Image stacking no only can found ghosting but also image loosing, refer this link and duration: 5:00 for example the Samsung and Pixel image stacking lost the chain, their image stacking in automode are not intelligent

Any moving subject will end up with some motion blur.

This is made possible by the sensor directly converting the pixels using an embedded hardware IP, rather than having the task delegated to the mobile processor.

With 108-million pixels, the sensor is also able to produce images up to 3x zoom at a 12Mp resolution without upscaling.

Anonymous, 29 Mar 2020Ghosting is avoided on tetracell and Nonacell sensors. If you mean burst mode... yes probably, but only in good light and with no HDR effect, meaning not so good lowlight action shots.
If you mean action HDR photography, no... you'd have to have DRO option for camera to get usable HDR action shots, especialy low light action shots.
One of the promotional Xperia 1 mark II photo, the lowlight scene of a guy in jump playing ball.. is an example of DRO taken shot... and was till now available only on real cameras.
If its indeed that good, well...win for a smartphone lowlight action/movement photography.

This is a more balanced phone than others I've seen this year so far. At least from the looks of the specs, now I truly hope for a parallel output from the real life tests. Also price is a bit too aggressive.

Funny how you compare Chinese brands with this. Most of the Chinese brands focus on breaking records than making products for consumers. 65W charger, charges phone in 35 mins etc. It's like a Bugatti or Koeniggsegg that can hit 300 mph but cant be driven in most roads.

Anonymous, 26 Mar 2020Too expensive and very old design. Samsung and Xiaomi are betterAt least don't say the S20 ultra is good looking. And an additional fuel on the fire, their entire S20 series is similar to mid-range A51, A71 plastic body devices. So don't ever say it has a good design. S10 series was great ain't gonna lie but S20 just sucks in design

Try do do burst with S20 Ultra or Mi 10.
Even with HDR off, I highly doubt more than 20% will be in focus.
With HdR on, will be worse.

It is like you take a photo using 1/2000s and another of 1/800s.
You cannot avoid blur.

Exactly what we see from Iphone, Galaxy and Pixel ...

Other phones force auto HDR, using the HDR+ trick.
HDR+ has to be used with static subject only to avoid ghosting.

Sony cameras (alpha and cybershot) have DRO (lift shadows but has more noise) and HDR (image stacking, not recommended for moving subject).

Photo Pro will have these two options.

If 99,9% use only auto, why Samsung, LG, OnePlus, Huawei, Vivo, oppo , xiaomi bother to make manual mode instead of only having auto like Apple and Google?

Oh, it is because they know auto is inferior than manual.

joe nodden, 29 Mar 2020Besides, even if it doesn't, that doesn't mean it shouldn't have an option to switch to 1440p ... moreAll phones are having issues with battery endurance. Couple months ago there was rumors devices with 865/5G could face heat and battery issues like SD810.

- Find X2 Pro loses 2:42h of web browsing and 5h standy compared to the UI running 60Hz.
- Samsung phones with 20-30% less when UI runs 1080@120
- OP 7 and 7T loses performance too

Dont you think Sony knows that?
This is what they told Android Authority in 2018 , when asked if XZP had 120Hz screen.
