All I'm saying is that it's not miracle that those phones are cheaper, they are using some old tech here and there and they don't have advance software features like Sony Bravia and ...
Those phones are good but you can't say Sony phones are just expensive without any reason.
FYI I never had Sony phones, I was waiting to buy OnePlus 8 then I saw so many complain about bugs and camera performance in OnePlus phones.
I'm still searching for my next flagship. If I see good reviews about this phone I'm going for it, if not I'm going for Samsung S20+ Snapdragon. (I said this so you don't take me as Sony fanboy)

Got to play with a demo model at a docomo shop and am just waiting for the release. Was very nice. Overkill but should last me a while as I usually go longer than most between upgrading.

but the new xiaomi flagship (Mi 10 Pro) isn't about number only anymore, it has better build, camera, audio, touch sensing than another flagship, even this phone.
You may try it by yourself, or look for it on benchmark sites, youtube review.

Samsung and Xiaomi are betterExplain why Galaxy Note10 and Note10+ has the similar, if not exactly same, language design as Xperia XZ and Xperia XZ Premium in the first place? Some people in the internet said that when the renders of Note10 series (except for Note10 Lite) are out, and people are quoting that the design is just like 2016-2017 Xperia, only with S10 screen vibes... If it was ugly, I bet Samsung didn't choose that design on Note10...

And don't make me start with those cheap Xiaomi phones. A flagship isn't just SOC, and Ram. A flagship needs latest and the best versions of hardware like USB, Screen Resolution, Gorilla Glass, OIS,
They just put the biggest numbers on their phones like 50w chargers that decreases battery life and try to shine their screens as much as they can (1200 nit) to fasten their OLED screen burn in.

I don't know how Sony does it, but they always manage to create a chic looking smartphone without having to resort to the latest design trends (e.g. infinity display, hole-punch notch, curves everywhere).
It looks very premium and the chamfered edges even gives off an HTC 10 vibe (that I miss).
I really appreciate that Sony still hasn't given up their timeless signature design for a generic 2019/2020 design.

UFS3.0 Glad to see a imx557 dedicated main sensor for mark II. After all it is 1/1.7, not 1/1.76 as on S20.
Also UFS 3.0 is welcomed.
From what I gather, info came from spec app on a promo device at a provider store in Japan?

I really like this phone. If I wasnt a Mate 10 pro user, Id upgrade to this in an instant. Better than s20 ultra BY FAR

It is their way to avoid photos and specs to be all over internet, like Galaxy S that is announced in february but in december we already know everything the phone has.

Me, I've always had a soft spot for Sony as my first mobile phone was a Sony. Definitely thinking of getting this phone but may depend on release date. If the OP8 pro comes out before, I may buy that. Waiting.........sigh! Never understood why Sony announces a phone and then waits ages to release it.
