Samsung has 6.9 inches display compared to Sony 6.5 inches. Remember these sizes are diagonal measurement. In the end Sony will have the best display no matter what. There's no one in the market that can beat Sony in display.

UHD 4K is 3840 x 2160, but defined for 16:9 aspect.
WQHD (not 4K, but 4xHD) is 2560x1440, defined for 21:9 aspect.
Xperia is 3840x1644, 21:9, and that res has no proper definition. It is vertically more than WQHD 21:9 and less than defined UHD 4K for 16:9.
As it is not defined, and inbetween those two definitions, horizontal pixel count can be taken into consideration, so it can be called a 4K widescreen res.

High resolution video coupled with 360 surround audio will make movie watching perfect. I really want this phone. I'll wait for reviews though.

Here you got me checking, holding up my phone at half arm length and comparing screen size to my 55 inch 4k TV that is about 3.5 m away from the couch. :)
Yeah, its the same.
So if one enjoys/discerns 4K sharpness on their TV, one should also enjoy/discern 4K sharpness on their smartphone.
Its only logical. ;)

The 4K video play with 4K display just a perfection, Samsung can only keep bragging 8K video but the display never upgrade to equal to the 8K video.

Also, i'd like a cheaper phone to do that, don't really need lot of features, just want a new small boxy phone.
