AnonD-921183, 23 Mar 2020Sony eye detection is the fastest around and their decision to opt for a larger sensor instead... moreI reply to you so your opinion won't get buried down
now just release a compact version and im sold
To remind the haters.
Sony wont unlock the 120Hz mode. Why?
1) battery emdurance
2) SD865 cant handle 4K90, nor 4K120. Its limit is 4K60.
I've been tied between this or the Huawei P30 Pro (Due to the new Hauwei not having google services) but Sony are taking forever to come out with any details regarding price and release date which is beyond frustrating, I have heard that its release date will be at the end of April in the UK but without any official confirmation and with the ongoing coronavirus issues this could be delayed by months. Will this phone be worth the wait or shall i go for the P30 Pro?!
Khan, 24 Mar 2020Release date Arriving late April in Japan with Docomo. So I assume early May or late May would be global release.
Sony Xperia 1 II. Pin 4500mAh is great?
Release date
Tann Hauser, 23 Mar 2020Yup, postponed due to corona world situation. But, as from leakster info by a certain known... moreHopefully earlier. Regardless, its faster than the release of the X1.
AnonD-923639, 23 Mar 2020So apparently a late April release in Japan (hopefully elsewhere too)Yup, postponed due to corona world situation.
But, as from leakster info by a certain known webshop employee, 1mark II has atm 11x more accounted interest than 1 had a year ago.
So they should release it ASAP.
So apparently a late April release in Japan (hopefully elsewhere too)
The differences between Sony Xperia 1 II (mark 2) DSEE Ultimate and DSEE HX are:
DSEE Ultimate can use AI technology to intelligently improve audio quality and focus on improving the performance of high and low frequencies;
The new technology can also analyze and improve third-party online streaming audio; and whether it is wired or wireless Bluetooth headset.
Headphones must support Hi-Res Audio or Hi-Res Audio Wireless certification."
So, near hi res sound with whatever you listen, be it on ytube, dezzer, your own mp3/mp4...
Great stuff.
Anonymous, 23 Mar 2020Its unfortunate how horrible the comments are on this. The phone hasn't been release or review... moreI ll try, and give you some proper info about the phone.
But after that, once them trlls kick in AGAIN, you should be asking admins that question, why dont they moderate this forum according to their own house posting rules?
Here it goes...
I think this phone is ridiculously pretty. Nice square block, but the corners have only a subtle curve so it doesn't look like a toy. Thin, symmetrical bezels; thicker than a lot of the competition but I'd take this over a notch/hole-punch/etc any day. And most importantly the front is F L A T - no silly curved sides! I would totally rock this phone without a case - if it weren't for the fact it's 99% glass and it will absolutely slip from my hands and crack lol.
In terms of pure aesthetics, its only competitor is the iPhone 12, from leaks they're going for that iPhone 4/5-style shell. But I prefer the Sony, because it doesn't have a notch.
Its unfortunate how horrible the comments are on this. The phone hasn't been release or reviewed, yet everybody has very strong opinions. I came here to see if anyone had leaks or updates, but its just a bunch of fighting over a company they can buy (or not buy) from. Your options aren't limited to Sony. If you don't own one and don't plan to, whats the point in fighting with someone who wants to buy the phone. Buy the phone you want and leave reviews that actually help other potential buyers.
Very ugly phones are Google pixel, iPhones 11s and Samsung Galaxy s20 (so wide brick for the camera). Sony makes the phones Xperia 1 and 1 II) so accurate and simple. You look at it and want to hold it
[deleted post]It's so beautiful design. It will Never be getting old. It is just stylish
[deleted post]Sony eye detection is the fastest around and their decision to opt for a larger sensor instead of upping the megapixel count should help them produce better quality pictures. The Zeiss optics should also help them compete with Huawei and give them a decent DXOmark score. These Xperia 1-II and Xperia Pro are geared towards photographer”s and videographer's and not those just interested in the odd snap or selfie. If you want a point and shoot phone, you'd be better off looking at the new iPhone and Samsung Galaxy models. If you're prepared to play around with the settings and shoot in manual mode, you can achieve great results. I'd rate the flagship Xperia's as the best alternatives to Huawei's P40 series as the Samsung and Apple phone's are too AI centred and produce less natural shots.
Few other Features you don't even see in Samsung/OP:
-4K HDR OLED
-SD865 unlike lousy exynos 990 (SD by Samsung is only in USA)
-Front facing Stereo Speakers
-20 AF/AE Bursts
-3.5mm headphones jack
-360 Degree Audio
-4K HDR recording
- Alpha Cinema Pro and PhotoPro
-Largest pyhsical Pixel sensor size on a Smartphone
- 21:9 Display Ratio
-Handsome design without ugly notches/puncholes
And i can continue the list so on
[deleted post]Geez! Your hate is real. I haven't even texted about Sony's dominance. As a matter of fact I use Xperia 1. Sony Mobile wasn't doing well, who doesn't know- even Sony admits. However they are gradually righting the wrongs.
And if you don't know, their paradigm is harnessing the prowess of the various departments and producing products for "creators".
My only problem with the xperia 1 is, it doesn't offer many creative functionalities. The cinema Pro app limits you so much.
Tominson, 23 Mar 2020Exactly. Look at the old Sony phones that the fanboys have here. They are just dreamers and ca... moreWell, if you really like your "recent" phone from other brands, why hang around here spreading hate on a brand you think it's not doing so well? Or you're just jealous?
