Sensor is Gen6 , most modern manucturing process Sony has.
For example imx686 is gen2 while imx400 is gen3.
Sensor itself can do super slowmotion.
Newer sensors have faster readout even without dram compared to older sensors. Imx677 can do 23MP 50fps and 4K120, something imx400/445 cant do.
It's choice. Why do you think nobody has 4K90 when sensor and cpu can support? Matter of choice.

Amazing device. I must have this or Pro verison!
RT-AutoFocus will be something really usefull, and this 1/1.7 sensor will be very nice. :)

Sony basically playing catchup.
Worst thing they ditched the dram on the IMX 555 while S20 still has it.

60hz brigade wouldn't understand the premium experience of 120hz on a smartphone.

I loved this one.
The only deal breaker is the availability gap too far.
Sony should learn from Samsung. Once it's announced they need to release PO soon.
Spec wise it would be perfect if the battery increase to 5000 mah and fast charging 45watt.
Other than that this is flagship of 2020 IMO.

I was expecting more base on reviews. Not impressive at all. I do have Xperia 1, I know that the size is perfect. It doesn't hurt the hand when you use it for while. Even my wife like it after OnePlus 6T. So you can compare these phones. Display on S20+ or ultra exactly the same as note 10+ has. They changed the name of it, but it's still the same. It's not dinamic bla bla bla. Good luck with your choice
I'm hoping the camera on Xperia 1 II will be upgraded, that's all I'm waiting for

I wish sony's design is like sammy galaxy s10! Ideal size! This is tooooooo long and narrow. Sony and lg design department is so so bad! Make a small size and a plus size. Best of both world. This is why they are losing to sammy. Sammy copies iphone. Now they have 3 sizes to choose!!!!
