susukino, 29 Jul 2020How old are you? You're laughing about other people saying "they don't know... moreI like how you missed the mark only by a Mars length and used typical "avoidence" like HiRes, industry-leading, cost a minimum and other nonsense/PR talk with hollow definition like hires.
And yes I am laughing, I find it extremely funny.

WH-1000XM3 - compared to XM3 has better ANC, much bigger useless bass boost and even more useless mics for phone calls. But we all already knew that.

susukino, 29 Jul 2020How old are you? You're laughing about other people saying "they don't know... moreIf that is all he got as Headphones then that is bad but if he is talking only about SONY then he has little hope.

None of the Headphones he listed are good even for Laid-back experience let alone Audiophile experience. WH-1000XM3 which is a decent improvement over XM2 is a decent enough Laid-back headphone for pleasure listening. MDR-Z7 M2 is what I call a very decent Laid Back listening gear from SONY under $500. Then if he needs Audiophile headphones under $500 I would have recommended SONY MDR-7520 but sadly they are discontinued for foolish reasons, but from what is available I say get Sennheiser HD660S for over a decade usage or get Hi-Fi Man Sundara for less than a decade usage. Coming to Audiophile Listening I listed bunch of headphones which will open him to world of Detail Clarity and Accuracy few posts back.

And NO, no one needs 10000 GBP to be an Audiophile as one can start from as low as 100-150 GBP/USD.

I hope he has some other decent headphones if not SONY then from other brands.

Fearghast, 10 Jul 2020You failed to grasp the point of my post. As it was trying to make a point that even Creative... moreHow old are you?

You're laughing about other people saying "they don't know what they are talking about" while at the same you are sounding like a complete noob yourself?

First of all, the first 2 audio headphones you are mentioning are targeted for a specific customer: Commuters or people who spend a lot of time on airplanes. The biggest selling point for those are the industry-leading noise-cancelling but perhaps you didn't know this? You obviously have them yourself, so why on earth did you buy them? But since you are obviously the expert (not), feel free to list up any other devices that cost around 300 GBP with support for Hi-Res audio and have noise cancelling? No? I thought so.

I don't have any experience with the other audio devices you mentioned, but for example the Sony IER-M9 blows anything else I've tried completely out of the water in terms of audio quality and they are not that expensive either. Especially paired up with my Z500 series Walkman, but also with my Xperia 1 II.

Of course, if you're a nerdy audiophile who only thinks headphones that cost a minimum 10 000 GBP is good then it's no point talking to you, but as a consumer focused brand there is very few companies that matches Sony in terms of audio quality across so many different devices types. There is also arguably no other phone that is better for music than the Xperia.

FAHIMAKASH14, 28 Jul 20201k phone and it have 12mp Guess what? Even the newly announced Full Frame camera A7Siii using 12mp. You have to balance things out from sensor size, pixel size & megapixel resolution.

For a smartphone camera, given the sensor & pixel size of Xperia 1ii, 12mp is the sweetest spot.

Not to mention I have not seen slowdowns since S7 - there were mostly small boosts THX to update to Samsung UI and newer Android versions.

One of the user on XDA has written a review about Xperia 1 II cameras. It is really interesting to read.

Fearghast, 27 Jul 2020I would say that group is even bigger, more like 100-100000 people. Seems really legit not a ... more1GB RAM 8GB ROM. That was spec of the oldest Android device we purchased 10Yrs ago. Do low end still have that bad specs. I don't think anything of latest gen even on the lowest end has that bad specs now. Minimum is 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM.
I miss the days when SAMSUNG used to produce legends and now it got reduced to crap. Bring back S2 and S3 quality. Presently if I had to recommend low end to mid-range it will be Xiaomi, ASUS, Realme and Vivo followed by LG, SAMSUNG, Motorola and NOKIA. High end SONY or Apple and if SONY delivers crap(like Z2, X, XZ2, XZ3) and one is in search for Android Flagship I recommend One+ and not SAMSUNG(never would I recommend SASMUNG Flagship to anyone after the pain we had to go through and multiple visits to Service Center I have seen my friends(multiple) smash the phone and purchase low end Xiaomi).
Low-Midrange phones (Low is around $150-250 and Mid is around $250-450) mostly end up being swapped in a year or two. I don't care which brand they choose.

XDA's noticed the latest update is rolling out RAW Support!!

You should know when Sony roles out an update it's from Sony>Telco>OTA. So if you don't see the update - it'll most likely be the Region or Telco.
