Well this information certainly does not improve Xperia 5 II expectations for me ... I will have to get my hands on those statics how many units have their mics broken :-/

I had to reboot 4 times a day because of the freezing. Also my cellular signal was so poor I rarely got above 1 bar when my wife had 3 and 4 here at the house on her iPhone. In spite of this I loved the phone but had to return it this week because I need a phone that can actually get calls! What a shame
.The freezing was terrible though.

SuuperBaka, 18 Aug 2020You used to be able to and i find that annoying that i can't do that anymore Yes on older Xperias. May be they might have thought that not many people are using it often so they just removed it from quick settings. At least they hold it in main settings unlike completely removed Album, Calendar, mail, Track ID apps lol.

I'm not going to support Samsung's name anymore. They have big and bad batteries, bad software (in my opinion), so many lugs in software, which goes slow in time. My first Sony is xperia 1, and I love it (even with small battery). I gave it to my wife, so I'm waiting for Xperia 1 II (somewhere in transit). Good luck to everyone

I was tired from it in 4 month. I use the phone every day at work. Does not work for me. No Samsung anymore

Carrier version in Japan is 8 + 128.
Looks like the unlocked japanese device will be 12 + 256.

Fearghast, 25 Jul 2020Yeah, friend of mine had that one too on one of his Xperia 1 IIs, sadly he had broken mics on ... moreI had my sony 1 ii unit get checked for possible faulty mic and speaker, they also produce hissing or somewhat cracked audio/sound, waiting for the service center diagnosis. Somewhat disappointed for I have been using it for just a couple of months😥

Even on reddit, no user complained about this. Looks like you have to reset the phone and check it. If that doesn't work try flashing the software again using PC. If they both fail, replace it.
