Used it for two weeks and am wondering if anyone else have problems with frozen screens and malfunctioning internet connections? Im forced to reboot mine a couple of times a week.

Exynos version has pros and cons. No need to compare it. It's a matter of your preference. All Samsung highend phone has NFC by the way.

I'm using the xperia 1 ii for 3 days, so far - very good smartphone. Display and camera are much better than Samsung "high end" ( with Exynos all become low end).
My only "problem" is there there is no NFC toggle in Quick Settings ( like in Pixel) , pity - what did they tried to "save" ?

wireless charging, isometrical design, side finger... moreI think you should try the side finger print reader before buying the phone, i owned a phone with this type of reader, I ended unlocking my phone when i ever tries to to put my phone in my pocket, the solution was to change the unlocking finger from the thumb to the index.
Maybe things has changed now.

Amazingly, Sony has really been getting its act together lately to deliver a full-packaged best in class multimedia phone, after years of disarray. I definitely will start considering purchasing Sony phones over other android phones from now on.

they really have to work on that. Still, of course, the balance is better than mono-speakers, but bad for stereo... side fingerprint is something I mostly see on mid-rangers. And, tbh, I don't know why! They are much better and comfortable than display fingerprint readers. Nice to see it added here. The design is interesting and sets itself apart from many new smartphones, however I'd like to avoid bezels.
The camera is nice. Not the best, like everyone claims, but it's good.
The resolution is weird tho... overall the display is decent (many people said it's bad, but it's definitely not). The biggest issues Sony phones still have are: Speakers (audio quality is good enough, but not the speakers), battery life, selfie cam (I personally don't mind, but many do) and the weird stock camera app.
