You know mate, some comparison you just don't want to make, because there is no way Sony will end up like a sensible choice ... not with almost double the price and one extra feature that makes sense on a mobile device :D
You can't effectively fight the best price/features/power flaghip even Juan noted that in his videos and reviews many times.
V60 is just great value, but I haven't bought it .. I am still waiting for those battery tests on Xperia and more proper reviews. I feel like in the end I will buy both and simply keep one.

But saying Xperia 1 II not better than LG v60 is laughable. You want examples?? For starters 4K HDR display, 20 fps AE/AF, BT.2020 and HS power control. Specifications on paper is different and performance in RL is different. So far X1 II has mostly positive reviews than bugs. Probably they can be fixed in final firmware/upcoming update.
BTW don't just watch one video and decide by yourself. Juan just today posted another video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ga-c1FSbuxk&feature=emb_logo) and has made many streams as well on why X1 II shouldn't be compared to other flagships.

I'm not sure if the latest version of GCam port on OnePlus 8 Pro would make any difference. I'm not gonna lie here, I compared both OnePlus 8 Pro and this Sony's night shot from the review page and the OnePlus photo quality is utterly terrible. I find it a shame since it was pretty much comparable to this Sony on daylight.

Not to mention Sony Xperia 1 II has abysmal image quality in dark, worse than Xperia 1 - there is a reason they are cooking the new firmware fix for that.
Xperia 1 with smaller sensor and without Zeiss has better image quality in dark :D just imagine how much they had to mess it up.

Fearghast, 19 Jun 2020You are 1/4 of the year early for announcement and 1/2 year early for Xperia 5 II release.Dude, Xperia 5 was announced in September 2019 and released in October 2019, only a month after its introduction to the public. Unless you're doing sarcasm or satire statement, there's no way Sony would do that. This isn't their MWC flagship device quarter. Because the patterns of Sony IFA-Flagship were released a month after its announcement (September to October). The only exception I knew is for Z5 Premium and Z3, both were released 2 months after the IFA. Especially when their IFA flagship mostly has carried over the same DNA as their MWC flagship, so production process was easier to move.
