The specs are quite good. Sony did nice job by including a triple camera set up.

Marko97sx, 05 Sep 2019Yes, because companies pay dxomark to make themselves look good oh come on.. :D
just look at the youtube videos, online reviews... sony lags behind on camera software department, it is obvious I don't need dxomark to tell me that..
even xiaomi k20 pro will be cheaper than this phone with better camera.. poco f1 has better camera than xperia 1
perfect width.
height... good enough.
thickness... good enough.
If it is good taking pictures, it will be the perfect phone for me.
Marko97sx, 05 Sep 2019Yes, because companies pay dxomark to make themselves look good Xperia cameras are really not that great, Sony also know that please check out the sample images

The only advantage the 5 has over the XZ3 is a better CPU and two extra cameras, and it costs 850€ (at least), the XZ3 has 960fps slow-motion, wireless charging, both speakers are front facing and it costs 500€, it's a better buy in my opinion.

Yann, 05 Sep 2019You call this small?!? This is more than 2cm higher than X and XZ compact series. 3mm wider. ... moreHow it isn't one handed? What kind of baby hands do you have? The phone even has a 1 handed mode

Marko97sx, 05 Sep 2019Too small? Weren't you people crying for a compact version? It's too small and too big at the same time with their ridiculous, unbalanced aspect ratio.

This phone is vertically as big as a 6 inch 16:9 phone (using huawei mate 8 as a reference)
Looks promising. Will be an amazing upgrade from my Z5
sohail shafayat, 05 Sep 2019This phone is narrower than a 16:9 5" phone, approximately =4.9" 16:9Yes, and that is how small you can expect UI elements, your keyboard and videos in portrait mode to be scaled. The width of the screen determines that. I really don't understand how narrow phones became a thing. 16:9 for me.
Pros:
screen size and quality
phone size
looks
resolution
Cons:
battery
no 3.5mm
price probably
camera for the price

Nope, Sony lover here, but only untill I got samsung and saw what a good camera is (still hating samsung for different reasons, but camera ain't one)..
So according to you - Sony has the best camera but is a victim of conspiracy theory from dxomark and similar sites ? :D
Fairly promising flagship in the compact size everyone wanted. (To an extent.) Great, colour accurate panel with deep blacks, the S855 SoC in tow with a generous 6 GB of RAM. The small battery was to be expected for this form factor, and it's perfectly fine for most people. It's going to get the most out of its 3140 mAH cell with Sony's excellent battery management software. Triple camera system seems to be the same as the tall Xperia 1, so we can expect a good all-rounder.
