Green lines?
At least they are green. As long as not red lines, it is good. Stay away from red lines. Because red is dead.

just for normal use until i get another ... moreJust dont buy Japan Variants because they are hardware locked specially from Softbank, you can't cross flash firmware for your specific region to get better signal.
That's also one reason Japan Sony Phones are sold very cheap compared to Global Versions of them.

just for normal use until i get another ... moreI'd say so, I am waiting for the xperia 1 VII which will have a major and long awaited upgrade (~1/2" exmor T telephoto)
Had the phone for a week now, one sole complaint is the battery life, I get 6 hours SOT with 86% battery capacity 90-20%
Build quality is excellent, screen looks nice (no green lines from me!) photos are better than midrangers, LOVE the camera button, speakers aren't the loudest but they have great quality, brightness is fine even in the sun, the stock OS is lackluster but it works and you can get lineage on it. As for performance it's very stable but not the strongest since it's y know 5 years old, it will run anything but don't expect ultra 60 fps
