Is the assistant button remapable already? Would be great to map it as a music player just like to old sony ericsson walkman phones where you have a dedicated button for walkman app.

I don't have any of the described issues. So that means either you got missinformed or you're making up a story. Your sources gave you info about hundreds of these returned because they have a weak signal? Name your sources please. If by your sources means reddit posts then you can stop trying to bash this device, as negative reddit comments about this phone are usually trollers. I'm not saying this phone is perfect but you guys are trying to sell a story that this phone sucks in any possible way. I just don't buy it sorry. But hey, maybe you convince someone that this phone really suck. Not me pal, not me. Have a nice day.

Updated to A11 a few weeks ago. My impressions:
1.) battery life seems to be about the same. No better, no worse.
2.) Although the phone is just as fast as before, it FEELS slower because somehow the animations in the UI are slower. Not sure if this was a Sony or Android change, but opening apps, window transitions felt so slow. I went into developer mode and turned all animations to 0.5, and now the phone feels lightning fast again. I didn't need to do this on A10.
3.) I can't say for sure, but Sony may have updated the stock camera app slightly. Before the update, shooting a video against the sun would cause massive exposure changes to compensate for the brightness, so the terrain would appear way too dark. There are many videos on youtube showing this behavior. Last weekend I shot a few videos directly against the sun, and low and behold, exposure was metered properly and both the sun/sky and terrain were exposed for properly with nothing blown out or darkened.

[deleted post]I think something is wrong. Mine is also from HK and the battery life has been amazing. I can easily get 2 days of moderate usage out of it, ~ 7-8 hours of screen on time total.

[deleted post]Bro, u should purchased the XQ-AS52 from the Hong Kong retailer to be used in UK. XQ-AS72 meant for Asia outside of Japan. All phones are Region specific. I purchased from Hong Kong retailer via Ebay as well and use it in Malaysia without issue. As I requested XQ-AS72 which is matching local Sony model in Malaysia. I saved RM1400 compare local price for now.... But come battery replacement or part replacement.... We will see... 😂

[deleted post]You can go Wikipedia search for Xperia 5ii. There got explanation on different region with different models. Each region with different bandwidth. Thus you are actually using Asia model for UK, it caused battery drainage by bandwidth issue

ch... moreEven if I had the wireless charge coil, I wouldnt use it. It is slow, and damages battery by heat accumulation.
BatteryCare is no joke, rather ingenious, prevents battery wearoff damage, and prolongs the batterylife significantly in longterm.
Anyways, one has an option to turn it off, so charging time drops to less than an hour. Or best leave it at auto, so chargetime is less than an hour if charged during the day, and longer but protective if charged overnight while asleep.
One of the main reason I stick with Sony is their batterycare tech. Only Sony, and later LG, cared to implement it.

why model 1 exists. Add wireless charging to this one and you've got a nice flagship.
charging should be improved. 2 hours for a full charge is a joke.
