Vevelicious08 , 16 May 2021Which is better between iphone xs max or this phone?this phone; the xperia 5 II has better processor, more RAM, more cameras, 3.5mm jack, notchless display, and better battery
AnonD-999151, 16 May 2021why should i buy this over the samsung galaxy s10e?Better chipset and more cameras with lesser bloatware
Bought at launch, best phone I ever used, the form factor is amazing to hold and use. Weight is one of the best features of this phone, simply light. Powerful chipset and smooth functionality. Battery life is amazing.
After using since November till now, I can't make calls with it anymore. Maybe something broke from inside but I can't make any calls at all. Sad sad thing to let it go now.
@adi, after reset average time between 2 last charges is 25h and SoT 7,2h.
@Tim222, I've recently moved to Android 11 and had some issues with faster battery drain than usual, no signs of phone getting slower or being laggy. Moreover, everything works like a charm on that matter. I suggest you perform Factory reset or Software Repair via Xperia Companion.
@Girlfriend Gearest, Sony is newer phone, has better and faster chipset, better camera, better battery. Battery with S10e is so bad, you need to take into account charging it twice a day.

How about mobie reception ?? i was told that signal on this mobile is very bad
why should i buy this over the samsung galaxy s10e?
Hi folks
My Xperia 5 II is running with Android 11
I noticed that after rebooting, my device gets slower and laggy after couple of days
Does anyone of you have experienced this and how to deal with it
Thanks in advance
adi, 06 May 2021so how about after reset? whats the situation? also anyone has 5G available? hows that? I performed factory reset several days ago, but I am currently testing the battery for the period of 10 days. This in order the phone learns the way and intensity of battery usage, then I will come back with info, hopefully with good news.

Tann Hauser, 05 May 2021If using Chrome it syncs google apps constantly in background. Try turning off sync in option... moreNo, I don't use Chrome for years. Eventually I performed factory reset, I will let 10 days so the battery accommodates on the usage and hopefully the situation improves. As a last option there's Software Repair via Xperia Companion, which I was advised to try.
adi, 23 Apr 2021best android phone i really do not understand why sony phones are so underrated i am using xpe... moreAgreed.
Im loving it.
A smooth, slick, unique and powerful companion.
And now, with the price drop, its especially appealing.

Try turning off sync in options/accounts, if you dont need it.
io, 29 Apr 2021i am always charging the 5ii in the morning closed after deleting all the chrome data in chrom... moreSo far I've restricted mobile data for quite some apps and also to use battery in the background, except for apps where I need to be up to date like Mails and OneDrive. Due to health problems I'm off work currently so have more time to use the phone, but it's weird a little bit if I surf normally over internet that % of battery drop faster then usual, unless something is happening in the background that I'm not aware of. I will give it a try a few more days and to make some comparisons, if it keeps going under expectations I won't have the other solution but factory reset.
i am always charging the 5ii in the morning closed after deleting all the chrome data in chrome settings
so i am chargind it about 40 min till get washed and so on..
in settings mobile data ive closed unnecesary data backgroud for apps that i am not using
after 8 9 hours of work i am comming home with 40% - 50% battery
So I've been using this phone 90 days already. I noticed recently that my battery is draining faster than usual. During the night it's ok, it drops 2-3%, but when I use it for surfing, for 15 minutes sometimes drops 4%. Despite I turned off notifications for some apps and made restrictions to use battery in the background.
However from the moment I activated the phone I got Android 11 and I installed it, but I didn't perform factory reset (not sure if that was maybe better idea to do first after Android 11 upgrade).
Please for advise, is there any advantage from resetting only apps settings or should I perform factory reset?
