atb, 11 Dec 2020I got the Xperia 5 ii on wensday this week and got alleredy 3 security updates in just 2 days ... moreJust set your MR mode to your night shooting preference and you have your Night mode. Mine is at M, HDR, 320 ISO and 1/4 ss. Makes for wonderful true to scene lowlight shots.
Auto is great for daylight, morning/sunset, or indoors, but at night street light or lower light uses too much exposure with slower shutter. Thus, there is MR mode to get it just right.

I got the Xperia 5 ii on wensday this week and got alleredy 3 security updates in just 2 days and
the december security patch is allredy on the way which is good.
I read here on this forum some very negative comments about the Xperia 5 ii but i guess most of those whoe post comments here dont have this phone and too those whoe bourgth this and dont like the camera performance they should send feeback to sony instead of blaiming and send them what you dont like so that it will be
fixe in future updates. I personally have no problems with camera performance or software i think the Xperia 5 ii performance is excellent also batterylife is impressive and the camera pro app and cinema pro is very good too have when shooting pictures with the main camera and wideangle or telephoto camera in automatic mode is excellent but sony should include more options
In automatic mode like a nigthmode including hdr. And the Xperia 5 ii offers quite alot for what
It is.

A... morei think it can record 120fps on 4k but not with the cameras software there is pro video app or something you can use for that i guess but not sure why are you guys fighting for the cameras on this phone are good enough and you cant know for sure if your device is better than this unless you compared it in real life or have a valid picture of it being worse than note 4 from a few years ago.

Sony is no 1 brand, superb display quality, and it's stylish phones like xperia s, xperia s, etc.
Camera is main reason it's awesome.
Sony beat apple and Samsung phones in my opinion
Sony make different design in smartphones that's very best.
Other brands like samsung, opoo, xiaomi or Apple same rubbish design

This phone was not made in China, but it is still expensive compared to some Samsung phones made in SK.
It has a low quality camera, I mean, even the Sony handheld cameras are better than the ones on here.

As terrible as Sony is, if they just made an $850~ phone similar to this, with a slightly larger battery, shrunken bezels, (no notch or hole though) an SD888, and at least a 48MP main sensor, I'd buy it. They fixed their dumb focus on resolution instead of refresh rate, now they need to fix their mediocre all around specs.
