Wow Sony Xperia Acro S, it is now available in Cambodia with 505$ net. ;-)
The Acro S is already relaese her in Norway its availlible mostly the white version also the black version of the acro s
when is sony releasing this? i cant wait any longer need a new phone lol i want this so badly.
If this had:
1. A S4 Krait Snapdragon CPU, or a Tegra 3
2. Perfect audio quality and frequency response
3. A stock-ICS style or TouchWhiz ROM based on Jellybean/ICS
4. HSPA 21.1mbps
Honestly, I really love ruggedized phones and Sony's design language, but the acro S here seems to be packing in last year's hardware, feeling outdated. And the last few XPERIA phones haven't been quite producing great results in GSMArena's own audio tests nor have they impressed me (relative, to say, my Walkman) in the store. Then, consider the Timescape UI - it's not nearly as flexible or intuitive as, say, stock ICS or even TouchWhiz. Can't change fonts, for instance (something I really like as a touch of extra individuality) and its got clunkiness in plenty of places.
Otherwise, though, the specifiations of the XPERIA acro S seem reasonable enough - the yesteryear Scorpion CPU, however, does not.
Last thing I'd like to mention is how Timescape feels compared to Sony's best ever, award winning GUI - XMB. It always bugs, confounds and irritates me how they could have chosen to ditch it. It was gorgeous, intuitive and elegantly functional, yet it's never made its way out of the PSP, PS3, and their TVs? They even put that ugly, out-of-place 'LiveArea' junk on the Vita...

Anonymous, 02 Aug 2012Better specs?! Dude, their specs are exactly the same, except that this phone has Android 4.0 ... moreyeah, let alone the pixel density... the 2 phones have the same resolution yet the ion has a bigger screen which means that the acro screen is better.
what wow, 01 Aug 2012better get Xperia ion .. its better specs , better screen and smaller price.Better specs?! Dude, their specs are exactly the same, except that this phone has Android 4.0 ICS and not 2.3 Gingerbread! So it's even better than ion.
Why are you people complaining about Snapdragon S3? SO WHAT?! All apps work without lagging on my Xperia Arc S with 1.4GHz single-core and Adreno 205! This one is 1.5GHz dual-core and Adreno 220! So it's more than powerful enough for everyday use. You should have seen what was it like when I used my HTC ChaCha, with only 800MHz single-core and Adreno 200. Now that was a torture to use. Luckily I bought Xperia Arc S, or I'd probably still be struggling with ChaCha's miserable slowness. The point is, THIS PHONE IS FAST ENOUGH!
