I've been using Xperia C5 Ultra for 3 months now. I live in Istanbul, Turkey and we received Android 5.1 upgrade here. 5.0 is the worst android version, esoecially in the terms of battery draining and ram usage. Here are the differences i have noticed so far with 5.1 upgrade :
- C5 Ultra is working much more smoothly, faster and it's very stabile.
- No overheating whatsoever.
- Battery lasts much longer than ever.
- The camera application opens much faster and the quality is greatly improved even though it was already very good.
- Ram Usage optimized, now you have 0.8-1 GB ram at your disposal. System ram usage greatly reduced like %100.
- The device boots up much faster.
- The charging time significantly reduced.
-Overall, it was a great upgrade that addressed all of the exsisted issues of the device. It's now working very fast, fluid, smoothly without any issue.I'm very much pleased to get rid of that clunky Lollipop 5.0. Anybody who considers to buy this phone now can do this without hesitation as it's very fast with a good hardware, design, camera, screen, build quality and now battery life.
Akay, 17 Jan 2016I am taking sony xperia c5 is it good.....or worth of money ..? It has few issues... Buy Z2 or Z3 or Z5 instead of this failure...
Hey guys....really need some help here....can one of you list all the sensors of xperia c5?? Pls reply
guyz its been 2 weeks i bought sony xperia c5 ultra dual. everytging is good only the one thing 2930 mah battry is really unbelievable its like 1500mah only. battry draining is really worse . it nearly takes 4 hours to be a fully charged but if u play games or use mobile continually its really doesn't take 4 hours to be the battry on ZERO. i m really very very sad with sony about battry.
and about camera, its preety nice. front and rear canera clearity is good enough but when u take the picture it really makes u thinner and longer then real size. i dont know what is the problem.
again i wanna let u know all, the battry is really useless if u have no worry about battry life then u can buy but if u see the batry is 2930 mah then plz dont buy its doesn't work like 2930 mah it onky works like the battry is 1500 mah.

David HG, 14 Jan 2016Need advice. I intend to buy a phone but do not know which one to choose.
Sony C5 or Samsun... moreYou should totally get the Samsung A8
To be honest this sony xperia c5 SUCKS!!!! Oh boy where do i begin with, for starters the phone heats up like crazy for example your start using youtube or browse on the Internet and it overheats, and the camara sometimes says "error camara unavailable" and the the touch sometimes is unresponsive OMG AND THE BATTERY OMG THE BATTERY IS JUST PURE DISGUSTING its takes more than 3 hours to fully charged if your lucky and the battery drains so fast!!! And i was like wow is this phone already sucking am i going to have to return it for a new device but all of them are the same!!! Some even worse than the others this phone is not worth it i regret buying it 100% and i had the T2 ultra before and it was waaaay much better than this trash phone
Tester, 13 Jan 2016Depends on the USB charging block and the cable. If you use the cable supplied by Sony it shou... moreHi I have just used this phone foe 3 weeks. What are the apps that you uninstalled? Care to share? Thx.
I have been a very happy user of IPhone, from the first ever IPhone to IPhone5s. I am waiting for IPhone7 to be released and my IPhone5s' battery us failing that I wanted to try an Android although I am never a fan of Android.
I chose Sony Xperia C5 firstly because I dislike Samsung. The other brands aren't appealing too, so I chose Sony. I like the lcd display, looks good and crispy. Phone has nice feel too. Cosmetically it is all good although the housing is plastic on the side and back. But most of us use phone covers so to me it doesn't matter much to me the plastic feel of this phone.
Interface...this is android, I never liked android but I wanted to try. To me android is the stupidest os, it takes you around the world to get to certain settings. But I'm getting used to it but still believe it needs improvement.
Back to the phone, everything to me is good but it is a little slow. I am comparing to my iPhone. Camera launch is slow that you would miss a few second if you need to suddenly take a snapshot of something.
Apps open slow too. IPhone would open within a second but this phone takes at least twice or more slower.
Battery runs out quite fast from 100% to 50%, somehow from 50% downwards the battery drains out much slower. I can't explain why but that is what I am experiencing. Maybe that is something good for me. Battery gets hot too after watching YouTube or Facebook for a while.
WiFi issue is one if the hottest topic discussed about this phone. A lot of pple complained about WiFi disconnection or instability. I was pissed too as I had that problem myself. But after reading a lot of fixes, I finally fixed it and it's good now. To those who are having bad WiFi experience, check your router settings. For me what I did was to change the signal which was b/g/n to b only. After this setup my WiFi connection on this phone went back to normal. Don't despair coz there is a fix. You just need to login into your router setup and change the settings. Sony won't be able to tell you this fix coz I emailed then and told me to restart my router and restart my Xperia which I did many times but didn't fix my WiFi issue.
In all, I like this phone, it is a fine phone, nice to play with. When IPhone7 comes out I would go back to iPhone coz to me iOS is still the best os and iPhone is still is much better device. But Xperia does offer me some excitement. If apple stops making phones I will stay with Sony Xperia. If Sony doesn't do phones anymore I will take LG. I would get a Z5 instead of C5, as Z5 is more superior.but in all as I said this isn't a bad phone.
Oh lastly, some apps won't allow you to have data saved directly in sd card. For example, audio recording wouldn't save in sdcard directly, there isn't a setting that allows that. So be wise when utilising the 16gb they gave.
Oh another thing, the on/off button and volume buttons at the side of the phone are too conveniently located that you might accidentally press them when you are just holding the phone in your hand. To me they shouldn't place the buttons there although they want this phone to allow a one-hand phone, where buttons are easily reached, but accidental pressing of the buttons is not good.
Those who are eyeing on this phone, if you have more budget go for Z5. Otherwise, this is really a fine phone.
