C5 ultra is best awesome phablet I'm enjoying alot with this phone
I've got the same problem of battery draining extremely fast too, like 100% drained in 3 hours, it even drained when it's idle. Charging is really slow too, like 8 hours. I suspect it's because of the draining problem. I found a fix at the following link:
http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Xperia-C5-Ultra/Android-System-drain/m-p/1064289/highlight/false#M255
I've copied the solution as follows:
(Go to WiFi advanced settings
Select option Keep wifi on during sleep and select Never.
Go back to home screen press the button on side for the screen to go off then put the phone down for a few minutes.
Press the power button for the display to come back on and you should notice that the wifi symbol will start to come on.
Now, follow the steps above, except this time select Always.
Go back to home screen press the button on side for the screen to go off then put the phone down for a few minutes.
And thats all I did.
If like mine, you should notice within a few hours that battery draining has more or less stopped.)
I'm really happy with the phone now. The only thing now is that it heats up a bit when playing games. Not too hot though. But there are so many good points about the phone. The display is amazing, amazing colour contrast, natural colour, without the image enhancement. Switching to Bravia or vivid kind of distort the colour, so i won't use the image enhancement. Sound better than my previous Xperia Z. The speaker is pretty loud. The sound on speaker won't crack even on maximum volume and it has a really nice low bass to it, not heavy though. Putting on a pair of decent earphones, the audio on clear audio mode is simply superb. The camera is really good. The camera start up isn't the fastest, yet not too slow. It's not an issue for me. I have no problem waiting for 1 second for it to start up. The interesting thing about the camera is if you open by swiping right on locked screen, it'll go to auto mode. If you unlock the screen and you open the camera by pressing the camera icon, it'll go to the setting that you've previously used. i want to share this because i saw in some comments that when they go to the camera, it always go to auto mode and not the setting that they previously used. The phone is fast enough for me. The phone is simply gorgeous. I've got the white version. I just love it.

Does this phone have voice recorder & video calling???
I would just like to ask if ur c5 ultra battery reaches up to 2 days coz mine does not. In the power management supposedly after charging to 100% it should indicate 2 days and 11hrs for estimated battery life. But then in my phone instead of 2 days and 11hrs it only shows 24hrs. And the charging time is really slow and the battery drains really fast. Am i only the one having these kind of problem? Really appreciate if u reply thanks a lot!

Using this beauty since 2 months, no issues, battery is good, superb cameras both front n'rear in fact the best I've ever come across, massive screen for watching videos & playing games. My 11 month old Z3 (D6603) has now become my secondary phone.
i think its normal to get overheating on C5 ultra because of its big screen with its high brightness so i recommend not to increase brightness and switch it to Auto otherwise most of phones gets overheated because of its reasons that i mentioned C5 working great for men Right Now using it for about 1 week
The problems are only overheat, hanging and battery drain fast?
@ SOHEL
If you are really looking at choosing between these 2 phones (M5 and C5) only, then I would recommend M5.
Reason:-
- M5 has 3gb ram,
- M5 has 21mp rear camera
- M5 screen has higher resolution in terms of ppi
- M5 has better processor, the Helio X10 which is better than C5.
I also have a Sony Z3, from my own experience, Z3 outperformed my M5 even though my M5 is about 1 month old and my Z3 is about 10 months old. But overall camera wise, the M5 did outdo my Z3, slightly.
Hope my info helps.

Bu... moreHi friend, currently I have Sony Z3 and M5 Dual Sim, actually I'm surprised that you changed from Z3 to C5 because C5 is a mid range phone using MTK Processor and Z3 was last year's flagship. Z3's Snapdragon 801 is still respectable in terms of performance. My other Sony, M5, is using MTK Helio X10 Octacore but still cannot outperform the 801 as the MTK lags while writing huge files between SD card and internal storage. Believe me, Z3 is still a respectable phone, not the top but respectable.
