AnonD-285549, 10 Aug 2014how did you download kitkat update?????????????? is it through wifi or broadband ?I think India got it first but there is a ftf with 4.4.2 update from Russia, it has in fact many languages support (Spanish, English, German, etc). You must use it with Flashtool and not Sony Companion.

I updated 2 days ago and I didn't noticed this, the swipe option was enabled by default and I always use pattern to lock it but I see what you say... weird but not an issue for me.

Have you configured groups? perhaps you don't know how to show the right group where all your contacts are. I've been using this phone for a month and I've never had such a trouble with my contacts.

hey, i have a problem with setting up my lock screen after kitkat update 4.4.2. under settings>security>lock screen
options for "none" and "swipe" were grayed out therefore, i can't select any of those
it just says "disabled by administrator, encryption, or credential storage"
does anyone suffer the same problem? pls help me, i tried reinstalling my firmware, and hard reseting my device but the same problem persists

Install sony pc companion in your laptop then connect your e1 smartphone via cable data. It will detect your new firmware automatically. Update take me about 2 hours. Good luck. Iam from indonesia.

guys update your phone to kitkat!!! i also updated mine just today using pc companion and i must say it got better performance than jellybean.

I update to kitkat this day. Suddenly battery endurance become better, smooth, no lag, memory avalaible rise from 70mb in 4.3 to 110mb in 4.4.2. Thx sony. I update through pc companion. A must update to experia e1 user.

I bought this phone as a backup, my daily driver is a Nexus 5.
I'm just disappointed that this phone have no exploits yet in terms of software(no custom roms...)
But this morning I did an update to Sony's official Android 4.4.2 Kitkat and I gotta say touches, swipes, and animation transitions seems to have become alot smoother and responsive comapred to 4.3

I lost contact list twice within 2 months. it is in the memory of phone but not displayed on the contact list. The service center have no answer except software problem. The China phone which I use before this seem to be better than this.
