Planning to be upgrade to 4.0 and JB is out and Android 5 due in October!!! No thank SONY
The display not sharp according to spec. Only 165 PPI whilst xperia active is more.
While the lack of front facing camera is a no big deal, the poor screen resolution certainly is. A decent PPI of around 225-230 would have made this beautiful phone yet more gorgeous. A mediocre PPI of 165 hardly perks up any inspiration in me to buy this phone.
Please is a lack of respect, there is only one manufacturer that has the domain with a cell phone that resists water and dust etc, is called Motorola Defy
HEllo ...HELLLOOOoooo ??? anybody there ???
OHHH yes this is what happens with Xperia Go You cant hear almost anything and peopel cant hear you as well. the proxy dosnt work very good either - your face act like your fingers because the phone dosnt register/ if you dont close the digitpad on the phone . The design and the menu the best ! but sorry sony - first thing is PHONE standard phone functions ;-)
c'mon dude, this is a mid-end phone, not a high-end phone, and every phone has a advantages and disadvantages, so STFU and stop complaining.
Anonymous, 07 Jul 2012just like to point out that the mali400 gpu in this phone is a single core while gsII one was ... moreyeah but this thing was HVGA resolution, the mali 400mp1 on this thing can run NOVA 3 on 800x480(chinese tablet) without lag. the perfomance shpuld 2x times better on this phone with only HVGA so... no problem
lol... want a big screen.. front face cam.. bulky.. heavy..
what the point of rugged phone then.
Anonymous, 06 Jul 2012No, it's crap. Absolute crap. NO excuse here Sony, massive fail. Dual-core and Mali-400 on 320... moreMeh, do you know that Sony will release this phone together with Acro S which is much better than Defy+: ICS, HD screen, Dual core, 12MP, rugged and waterproof as well
find more info before you post. Xperia Go is a mid range rugged phone.
Anonymous, 06 Jul 2012No, it's crap. Absolute crap. NO excuse here Sony, massive fail. Dual-core and Mali-400 on 320... morejust like to point out that the mali400 gpu in this phone is a single core while gsII one was a quad core. So you cant really compare it to the galaxy s 2
It's funny to read complaits of the resolution or battery.
This is not a perfect high-end model, this is a compromise. If this phone had better specs, price would be higher, and everyone would complain that.
If you want better phone, you can choose Xperia acro S. ;)
sam, 05 Jul 2012only 320 X 480 resolution,no secondary camera...but good design...overall its ok....No, it's crap. Absolute crap. NO excuse here Sony, massive fail. Dual-core and Mali-400 on 320 x 480!? 320 x 480 on a 3.5" screen?
Just as pointless as it was on the SII, to low res- to benefit from the Mali. Why is it so difficult to make a phone which is better than the original Motorola DEFY? Only one who did this far is Motorola themselves, with DEFY+. Which is the best rugged android available.
fin, 04 Jul 2012i like this phone, but i'm worried about the battery. 1305mAh for Dual Core 1Ghz, miro has b... moreSony sometimes act really funny. Those low end phones have very good batteries and the Xperia P, along with some others have a weaker one. And the Xperia U doesn't have an SD card slot but the lower end ones have. If they fix these things their phones will be excellent.
Abhi, 02 Jul 2012for low resolution MALI 400 is not a good option dude hello??!! can u xplain me y??? isnt it good for dat resolution dude u dont noe wht bravia engine can do to the clarity of the screen n + dude the multi-core gpu engine (Mali-400) is a gr8 option for gaming in the multi-core mobile like dis one so can u tell me wht r the cons because of which u r teliing dat it isnt good for dat resolution??
Although it have a low resolution, but because of bravia tech, this make it have no problem. The only worry only the battery. I'm now using his brother, active, it have no problem when I'm not using the 3g, but when I turn it on, it only work for 4hrs or less. And some more it was not dual core... other than this I still love the phone, and I'm waiting the yellow coming: )
