Are you people that serious with the specifications you are listing in your smartphones in this 2020. Once upon a time I was a dead fan of Sony Experia. Now, I & my family are dead opposite to your smartphones. Reason is high cost and embedding outdated features.

Even though an average of $2 in revenue per phone doesn't sound like much, multiply it by millions and it becomes a large amount. Then they offer cloud storage etc.
I currently have about 20 Xiaomi smart-devices installed in my home. And there are more waiting to find their places, I just to set of some time one day :-)
I don't know what the price of the Xperia L4 will be. I'm happy they shrunk the top bezel, and the U and V types of notcher are the least intrusive ones. They could have reduced the bottom bezel a bit, especially considering it's already a 21:9 aspect on the screen. It's both taller and narrower than my Mi Mix 3, so it's definitely a long device.

Probably, in all good Sony way, it will cost 200-250 euros.
Is like Sony is payed by Chinese companies to build bad phones and more expensive than the market trend. In this way everybody will buy Chinese phones.

Didn't Google ALREADY ENFORCED that every NEW android phone CERTIFIED & LAUNCHED with the latest Android OS, which is currently Android 10 after end of January 2020 deadline?? Why does Sony STILL LOAD Android 9.0 PIE on Xperia L4 after THAT deadline??
Google will "PUNISH" Sony soon along with Huawei (Y7p, Honor 9X lite), Xiaomi (Redmi 8A Dual)...

Do you think Xiaomi makes money just by selling apps? No way they’d go belly up.
It’s essentially an attempt to make them only choice.

Furthermore, knowing Sony, they will probably price this somewhere between 300 and 400 euros.

Who buys this when there is a ... moreThere is more to a phone than chipset and screen, camera & audio quality is what Sony try to put ahead of all else... Plus this chipset is perfectly fine... A53 cores drain far less power than A73 and even A75!
