I'm using a Xperia m. I've tried many of the
popular call recording apps in the market. But all
of them mainly records my voice (what I'm
speaking to mic). Other party's voice can be
hardly heard and sometimes only my voice
Is there any other effective app for recording both
parties voices clearly?

Review cum Problems of Sony Xperia M (C1904)
Android version 4.1.2
Build number: 15.1.A.1.9
Kernel version: 3.4.0
#1 SMP PREEMPT Thu Jun 20 15:24:21
Bought this Xperia M (black) on 20th August 2013 from Jumbo Retail.
Hardware: It packs a great uni-body design just like the Xpera Z. It also has a slot for attaching a cord/sling. Rubberised back with big “Sony” branding in the center and “Xperia” at the bottom. The aluminium power button is also very elegant in looks.
As for the processor and RAM, It houses a dual core 1Ghz Snapdragon Krait processor which is from the latest series of Snapdragon Processors said to be very powerful and battery efficient coupled with Adreno 305 GPU (Again the best in this price group and better than PwrVGX GPU’s of some MTK Cortex processors). Also has very eye catching LED notifications light.
Software: I won’t talk of the features of Jelly Bean but yes the Xperia Timescape theme in all of these 2013 Xperia Phones is outstanding. My last phone was a 2011 Xperia Mini ST15i and since then the skin of Timescape has improved a lot. (You won’t get such a good experience of android in any of the ugly looking Samsung’s Touchwiz or HTC senseless HTC sense - yes I am a sony fan). It has a very good feature of small apps and also to open and access recent apps. Sony might also update all of the 2013 phones to Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie next year.
Camera: Not the camera I expected, flash is mis-caliberated as well as the focus about 40% times (sony shall have to look into it in the coming updates for the phone), Flash doesn’t fire while using HDR and you need to have super stable hands while using HDR in low light (though it does what it says, takes up nice photos in low light). 720p Video Recording is extremely crisp and good, front camera is decent as well – No complaints here.
Music: Earphones are on-the-ear, clear and decent but the MH-650 in-ear earphones I got with my last Xperia Mini are a class part but unfortunately they don’t work with Xperia M. Music from Loudspeaker is really loud and amazing.
Performance: It has the best of processors and RAM tuned in the best way and thus delivers exceptional good lag free experience, I tried playing Temple Run 2, pressed home, immediately pressed call button to make call and it happened without any delay (Note: This is a small test to check speed in everyday usage, several badly tuned phones fail this even being dual core and having 1 GB ram). Phones also plays 1080p videos seamlessly using MxPlayer.
Display: at 245ppi in this 4” display, its better than Xperia L, Lumia 520, 620, Grand, Core etc.
Battery: 1750 mah battery which is equal to that of Xperia L is more efficient in Xperia M, mainly bcoz of 0.3 inch smaller screen than that of L. Goes for 12-15 hours on heavy usage without using any “Stamina Mode”, I am a power user and when I say heavy usage, I mean really heavy usage i.e. calls, messaging, continuous whatsapp, few photos as well.
Others: It has NFC no other phone in this price group has that, I bought Xperia Smart Tags online for Rs.250 for 2 tags. Very useful if you know how to make use this extremely handy feature. Phone reception is very clear, light weight. It has premium build quality. Sony features inside the phone like SenseMe slideshow are also very good.
Problems: My last phone had 420 mb internal storage, and had ICS, in ICS I was allowed to move apps to SD card with the same thing I overlooked that this phone has 4 GB internal storage and thought that I will move apps to my newly bought SanDisk Ultra 32 GB SDHC Class 10 card but to my surprise Android 4.1 Jelly Bean does not allow any app to moved to the SD card (blame Google here not Sony), Thus, it has ended the possibility for this phone Xperia M to be future proof unless you root it (void warranty) and become superuser to move apps to SD Card. – I shall do this after my warranty expires :D.
Bigger Problems: (Before you continue to read please note that I am a poweruser, I use all the features of the phone and observe them very closely and also want all things to work perfectly, you might or might not experience these issue in normal usage)
Problem 1: While network strength is poor on 3g Network and you use cellular data the phone tends to heat sometimes. Its not a problem unless you make a call in that time and then feel the so uncomfortable heat on your ear.
Problem 2: Camera focus and flash is miscaliberated, Flash should fire in HDR mode.
While taking snap in very close range (Macro) the phone can not just manage to focus properly. Sometimes the flash either completely washes out the image or sometimes I get just a black image and nothing else.
Problem 3: Use GPS in car, while charging and the phone will turn into a heater, becomes extremely hot, you cannot place it near your ear while calling its so damn hot, all phones get hot while using GPS but this one crosses all limits.
Typical Review: Buy it, its worth it. Camera problems and heating issues will be solved in upcoming updates. I know they will because the Xperia Minis ‘s heating while charging problem disappeared like magic after updates. I know Sony, I trust the company.
Music: 9/10 (9 because earphones are not in-ear)
Overall: 9/10 (This is my opinion since phone is way better than Samsung Galaxy Grand (cortex processor, bad screen ppi), Xperia L (poor screen 228ppi, not so good 8mp camera, not so good battery), Galaxy Core (again cortex processor, bad screen ppi).
kenxtra, 28 Aug 2013does it have Tv out??NO tv-out... but if u have a DLNA certified device you can connect it
who would be the winner if we compare it with LG optimus L7II or with samsung galaxy Ace 3
I am planning to buy this mobile as it meets all my requirements. Can someone tell if the SIM slot is micro-SIM or mini-SIM?
sekhar sreeram, 28 Aug 2013Please guide me
Galxy core or xperia m
Which one is the best
And I'm game lover which is... moreit is for every reason better than core
dont be so ambitious for camera
it is ok not that bad
in future it would be improved in coming updates ( just like xperia L )
if you are a gamer then never never go for core.
core has unnamed gpu while xperia M has best gpu in its class (adreno 305) which supports every game.
and the quality of Sony products cant be matched by samsung at all.
you will definitely get an update for Xperia M so dont be upset over camera it would be improved soon
see other features
2 krait core processors
one touch functions
better look and ui
and *****you won't get any scratches on xperia M due to scratch resistant glass i bet****
go for it
all this is said by someone who has used this phone.

A detailed review : THE BEST BUDGET ALL ROUNDER
The 10,000 - 23,000 range has always been SONY's stronghold and the XPERIA-M seems to be Competition killer.
If you think that Micromax and XOLO give better configs for the price, SONY is here to prove you wrong:
Here is a step-by-step analysis of the Xperia M:
(The review is comparison based with contenders :
Xolo Play , Canvas A116, Galaxy Core, Ascend P1 )
I am not mentioning anything about Micromax A116 or GALAXY CORE because these 2 phones are completely over-shadowed by phones I am mentioning here.
Indian brands : XOLO play >>>>>>>Micromax A116
Foreign brands: Xperia M >>>>>>> Galaxy Core
LOOKS / HANDLING :
Xperia M is most certainly beautiful, and the best looking entry level device in my opinion. The 4-inch screen means it is extremely comfortable to use and is very light.
Xolo Play comes last in looks as having larger screen,Heavier and thicker body causing difficult handling.
Ascend P1 is very light and thin, and is at par (or a little better) than Xperia-M in looks, but it's material doesn't really feel premium.
Xperia M has high enough PPI (245) and display looks crisp with natural vivid colors.
Viewing angles are a bit off, but nothing that you would particularly notice.
XOLO T1000: has a MUCH BETTER DISPLAY than Xperia M in all aspects.
IPS LCD 720-p is a real winner.
Ascend P1 is a mixed bag...While having nearly the same 245 PPI , a pentile matrix causes it to be (a little) less crisp, but AMOLED makes colors very vibrant,(often too much, causing it to look unreal)
Xperia M has the best performance for an entry level device ever given by a foreign brand. It is snappy, runs all games flawlessly and movies run really well.
XOLO Play and the P1 give similar performances, each giving superb performance for price results.
1GB Ram ensures Muti-tasking is smooth.
Here are the bench marks
Phone......General speed..............................Gaming........Net Speed
As you see most scores are very close, and there is no clear winner.
(these scores CRUSH scores of Galaxy core and HD 116)
USER INTERFACE /SOFTWARE:
XPERIA M and ASCEND P1 crush the XOLO PLAY in this department.
SONY wins overall with jelly-bean(android 4.1.2), smooth UI with superb features like Mini-apps while keeping true to Vanilla JB.
ASCEND P1 has an awesome UI that is VERY DIFFERENT and also allows switching to stock if u dislike it...P1 is however launched with Android 4.0, but updates to jellbean are available.
XOLO PLAY has a very (surprisingly) sluggish UI and this is what ruins probably a great package....UI can however be changed with Launcher apps and ROOTING.
Note: Ascend P1 has a pathetic keyboard, be sure to replace it with another app (SWIFTKEY).
Xperia M and the Ascend P1 are LOUD, and I mean really loud.
Great music speakers and In ear audio quality make them both great mobiles for audiophiles.
Xolo has average volume, in ear quality is average too.
Here is how it is
Ascend P1 >>> Xperia M= Xolo Play
Ascend P1 takes magnificent photos and Great videos while Xolo and Xperia M are simple average in this department.
Xperia M is definitely not a Camera-phile's phones.
Customer service and reliability:
Xperia M takes the cake here. The Foreign Brand offer good service and Phones have a much better expected Life time
Huawei and XOLO have below-average support in India.
Note: Huawei is actually a very BIG COMPANY (A brand with value), that actually sold more phones than SONY,LG and HTC in 2012. However, most of it's sales occur only in china.
CONCLUSION / WRAP-UP:
If Known brands' mobiles are your only option, Xperia M kills all small fries of HTC,LG and Samsung. It Delivers excellently everywhere except the Camera.(only average here) while giving EXCEPTIONAL PERFORMANCE.
A GREAT ALL ROUNDER
THUS, IN BRANDED PHONES >>> XPERIA M IS THE BEST
The ASCEND P1 Hold really well as it stands out as a great choice for people looking for a great package with a GREAT CAMERA or a NEW EXPERIENCE. Display is however not as good as the other 2.
XOLO PLAY remains the Spec-Thristy people's ultimate choice. Flaunting a LARGE beautiful screen, a great chipset for 3,000 it is a BUDGET GAMER'S DREAM. It's camera and UI are however Under-whelming.
Please guide me
Galxy core or xperia m
Which one is the best
And I'm game lover which is the best
Please help me;)
