The things I don't like about this phone is the low memory and sharpness, poor camera and battery after the 5.1.1 update. Don't upgrade if you don't want these problems. But overall, it is a lot snappier and a better performer than galaxy a8. I have been using this phone for more than one year but the new galaxy a8 lags like 3 times more. I'm happier with xperia m2 than galaxy a8.

Great phone, rock solid GPS, killer battery life UNTIL 5.1.1 released. Does NOT support Lollipop.
As of 4-11-2015 Sony support are unwilling to support any backdate to previous version of software.
Current bugs: 5.1.1 kills GPS, Wi-fi, Camera, 60% battery drain in 8 hours and your handset will get warm doing nothing.

Use the default android version. Kit kat version is very bad. My camera quality got worsened. Phone sometimes hang also. Now I am thinking to upgrade to lollipop.

I have had my Sony Xperia m2 for around a year and half now and bought it mainly for its camera. Up to the recent update the picture quality was exceptional, however after installing 5.1.1 lollipop I have seen a huge diminish in the picture quality that I am receiving. The photos are overly sharp and painting like with a poor colour quality. If anyone has any idea of how this will be fixed, I would appreciate a response.

Phone certainly not on high class standard but, as it IS a mid-range phone (concerning it's price) I'd say its worth the purchase.

Ever since the update 2015 I've lost all my personal contact ringtones my phone doesn't ring very loud even though it says my ringtones are there when a contact rings it's just the same ringtone for everybody I never had any trouble before the update

I'm used m2 aqua as a gps via Here maps.I drove more than 15.000 kilometers with it in this summer and it is worked perfectly.After upgrade to lollipop it does't work any more,not miss the location just never find it....so please how I can downgrade it to 4.4.4

Immensely disappointed after upgrading my phone to 5.1.1 lollipop..Photos clicked are so very poor, no detail whatsoever as if its a painting..Haven't expected this from SONY. Have always been a sony's fan and hope that this issue will get resolved soon..Thank you..

Actually the battery is a much bigger issue than the camera. The battery life is very decreased and the charge is sloooow.
