For example if you had used some file manager like ES file manager, with KitKat you won't be able to copy data to SD card or to erase data from SD card.
With my update to KitKat I've received File Commander FK which program can perform writing to SD.
But I'm unable to download torrent directly yo SD card with uTorrent application.

I do actually like the M2!
dmx, 25 Sep 2014Can you tell me the kitkat update was really good or stay in jellybean?I prefer JellyBean but would advise Kitkat.
On jellyBean, the phone is unable to transfer apps to the SD card.
KitKat supposedly resolved this but, my phone kept crashing (but in fairness my phone was dodgey from the start so my opinion on that is kinda moot.
Althoughbi find that the xperia m2 was rly smooth n fast but it has a serious probelm of easily overheating around the camera area when using certain apps on the phone. It also has bad camera quality , especially the secondary camera with only 480p.
dmx, 25 Sep 2014Can you tell me the kitkat update was really good or stay in jellybean? If improved camera software is not important for you, then you may stay with Jelly Bean.
Can you tell me the kitkat update was really good or stay in jellybean?

anonitachi, 24 Sep 2014AS the Xperia Zs baby brother, I thought that the M2 was going to be a pretty good med range p... moreThe built-in music equalalizer that modifies the loudness of your music while you are listening to it, has to be the worste idea that has ever happened. Nearly all my music jumps from quiet to loud and this nuisanse of a command totally ruins the loud parts. Really, really bad idea.
AS the Xperia Zs baby brother, I thought that the M2 was going to be a pretty good med range phone. ere are my opinions and facts after 8 weeks of usage:
Price: £149.99 or with EE £30 cash with £13.99pm contract Style: Slim, has a nice weight to it. Nice big 4.8" screen. I think it looks pretty sweet.
Use: I only need a phone for calls, texts, music, camera and the occassional bit of ebanking - The Camera is sweet although it got bad reviews but I see nothing wrong with it, texting and calling is normal and online usage is pretty fast and smooth.
Now... The issues
My phone is 8 weeks old. It has crashed "Sudden Death" on me no less than 4 times. One period in particular the camera area dangerously over heated, i mean, really hot. This happened when upgrading from Jeallybean to KitKat. The phone died for about 20 hours. Totally non-responsive and all of a sudden the next day, it switched on but with 1% battery life.
Since then, the screen takes 3-5 seconds to display when blacked-out. The ear-sensor which blacks the screen out when on a call takes about 5 seconds to display when moved from your ear (a really big pain in the ass when calling an 0845 number) and beyond the sluggishness of it all and constant crashing after the KitKat upgrade, it still crashes when attempting to store onto the SD card.
I am just back from EE store who flashed it there-and-then. When this was done - SIM card not recognised. My phone is now on its way to England and I am praying I get a replacement...
Final Thought: I know mid-range phones aren't meant to be as good as the £300-£500 range, but you would expect it to function AS A PHONE. I believe we perfected the basics of a mobile phone 20 years ago. They spend too much time making all the new twerks and tweeks that the basic functions are being overlooked. Tis a shame.
My m2 dual camera is not workng properly.
All d pics i take cmes blur...
Camera quality is not good...
Is there any solution here
After 1 month grill speaker came off!!! Have anybody this problem?!
How to remove simcard from Sony m2.. thank you
A good handphone. Fast operations. Slim. Battery life OK.
jagdeesh , 23 Sep 2014Poor camera qualityIf you (or rather, your phone) still remain in the out of box Jelly Bean OS, then YES, the camera is bad.
If you have updated to Kitkat, just learn about how to use the correct camera settings for shooting. With the update, M2 camera software also received its upgrade. Frankly, it's not bad.
