Compared to my iPhone4..:
-Worse signal reception,.. Even compared to other phones, I loose signal a lot sooner, even sooner than cheap China phones
-battery life, I just can not get it to run more than a day. I do not play games, neither, am not on social media, browsing, special apps.. Nothing of that.. I use it more or less only for telephoning and some email checkig, maybe I write an email or sms.. But battery just drains. I even tried selecting lower reception speeds, but it just does not help much.
-I have more problems typing on this one as on the iPhone 4, strange since it is bigger.
- I still have some.problems with Android, ios is better os..maybe I just need more time.
Phone is faster than iPhone 4, speed is quite good actually.
Camera is much better, but lumia 950 makes makes nicer photos in low light.

It is actually good device.I was using this device since dec 2015.No any issue other than heat.Front and back camera is great.working well in under water.Happy with this device

Auto Shuts down when go in roaming with mobile data ON condition.This will not restart without charger. An expensive annoying phone that is completely useless. Bad experience with SONY mobile. Service Centre does not know how to resolve.

Anonymous, 28 Nov 2016Only problem i had is the random extreme heating which lasts for 5 min and then cools down aga... moremy m5 tend to get high temperature if i open the camera more than 2 minute. is it normal or my device had factory faulty?

Battery last max 1 day, without GPS, games and lte!! I made a few calls, nothing else..i pulled it from charger at 7 am and at 9pm battery is at 5%.. No more Sony for me. Mine does not crash though..

Anonymous, 06 Dec 2016My m5 is already update android 6.0...but auto shutdown still problemafter you update. you have to backup your things and factory reset your phone.

Got this phone week ago. Running smoothly. Only sad thing that it will not get Nougat update. Rear camera is quite good, front camera amazing, ram performance good, no randomly shut downs or anything like that, battery holds up for day even with extremely using phone. For mid range you could not get anything better, so this is my high recommendation, go for Sony M5.

I've had M5 since june and it has so far been my worst experience with technology in my whole life. Might be that there is something wrong with the hardware itself (haven't found out what if thats the case).. I'm guessing its the software. The xperia companion is useless! The newest update destroyed my phone and I cant get to any! of mye stored data. Anything that isn't saved to my computer is lost...

Today that device cost't about 400 euro's in Bulgaria!400 euro's for a MediaTec powered device???You must be joking SONY!!!WAKE UP!I was behind the SONY and SONY ERICSSON name's for about last 20 years,byt now.....You just missed the road SONY!I have Xperia Z1 in my hands right now,a verry powerfull device,but i'm stuck on OS of 2014y and why?I see today a LG,Lenovo and a lot more piece's of 5h1t gettin'g Android 6x and even 7x,come on...You just have forgot us Sony,us the reggular buyer...Guud luck with the SUPER tamagochi's that you r rolling out today,i'm no more using that garbage!!!

Only problem i had is the random extreme heating which lasts for 5 min and then cools down again. It doesn't affect any performance. Thus far i love this phone. Damn good pictures especially High Speed Capture.

Problem solved for automatic shutdown! me and my 2 friends bought m5 and experienced autoshutdowns. Just upgrade lollipop to marshmallow 6.0. after upgrading you wont experience any autoshutdowns anymore. additional ultra stamina mode is also added to your phone after the upgrading.

Have had my M5 now for a couple of months, haven't had any problems with it. I must be one of the lucky few.
