Have any one tries to turn off mobile data or internet and use wifi instead. Does auto shutdown occur when you do this on xperia m5.
I bought this phone 2 days ago.I haven't experienced auto-shoutdown issue.I love it
Xperia M5 have better specs. camera(front and back), display, battery life, waterproof, just set the data to GSM and not LTE so you will not experience sudden shut down. This is a bug to the OS which I am pretty sure it will get fix on Marsmallow update.
I am in a confusion which one to take nexus 5x or xperia m5?overall which one will be a better one?
I've problem with Wi-Fi connectivity. After 5 to 6 hours the Wi-Fi connectivity is turning off automatically. Again I want to connect it manually. Also the auto-connect option is not working. Pls provide some solution to fix this issue
Is the non-removable battery a prolem?? I want to upgrade to the Sony M5 but after hearing complaints about the auto shut down I am disgusted..... I want to choose between the M5 or the Z3... I first wanted the M5 because the camera is really good. Please help ASAP!!

Had the same auto-shutdown issue previously. After the Singapore Sony service center replaced the battery and the motherboard for my M5, the problem seemed to have been resolved. For heating issue and short battery life, try using 3rd party software like greenify, all-in-one toolbox, etc.
I hate it. I absolutely hate it. I was deceived. When I bought, I felt happy because the specs were really nice, but I had the auto shutdown problem less than a month after. I didnt bring it to the service center for a while, hoping the problem would just go away, but it didn't. Brought it to the service center and Sony had crappy customer service. They didn't have a service phone (what the hell am I supposed to use considering they sold me this defective phone?). When I got it back, THE PROBLEM IS STILL THERE.
Overheats very quickly, battery drains fast (they marketed it as having a long battery life), and the LCD has purple marks--and it's barely 7 months since i've had this phone.
Will definitely not buy any Sony product again. EVER.
I bought it. I don't know about you guys what are you complaining about the shut downs and other stuff, but mine doesn't have any problems. Mine has pretty good battery, It doesn't heat up fast, It starts heats up a little bit about after 2 hours of Gameplay. Its a really good phone, I don't regret it. My only complaint is sometimes in not well-lit places, the pictures become very grainy

A t first i thought m5 was a good phone. so i bought it. bt after using it i find that this is a bad phone .bcoz when we are playin it, it will shut down faster
I have m5 with the problem of auto shutdown. no matter of batter charge or signal level. once it is shutdown, couldn't restart without chargers help. Now am carrying mobile with power bank.
It was given for service at sony service center, those irresponsibles returned me with the same issue by just flashing the mobile software. sony should call of this mobile. I have seen three people in the service center with the same issue. Felt bad when I come to know that it is known issue to the company and it is trying to cheat all its customer
