hello.. i bought my sony m5 last aprill 20, 2016 from sony store. However, this may 20, my sony xperia M5 just autoshutdown and then it never on.. i thought theres no battery.. however i charge it however still nothing happens..
i went to the nearest sony service center and then gave it to them for repair as it still on warranty period (newly bought). Its already 20 days and yest its still not being repaired
anyways, the camera specs of the M5 is great
however, the battery life sucks, it has a sudden death issue and doesnt know how to multitask
my xperia m5 working without any problems till now.. Bought it last December.. I'm waiting for marshmallow update.. 😭

My wife has a huawei P8 for more than a year and it has been an awesome Phone!! One of the best she already had!! No lags, great camera, great performance, nice display!! Feels good in the hand... I think you will like!!
The only think you need to be carefull on P8 is the scratches!!! The aluminium is very easy to scratch...but with a good cover you solve the problem!! Go for it!! You wont regret!
Another good option is the new P9 lite.. take a look!!
Its great too.. and a little bit more affordable!!

I buy this phone and the day after purchase I had to replace the charger!!! 1st week it begins with auto-shut down problems!
After a mouth using the phone just DIED without any reason!! Just Died and dont turn on again!!
I send it to the waranty service...and it took 25 days to be fixed!!! they replaced the board and the power system!
After a day of getting it back from waranty just Died again!!! Now Im waiting again... I will ask for a refund!! Dont want this phone and this model anymore!!!! I'm thinking to buy huawei P9 or Nexus 6P!!!
i just have this phone xperia m5 for at least less than 2 months, and started having problem with the touch screen being not responsive. tried factory reset thinking it was the applications that was put in from facebook moments (pictures group posting). Its crap I have wasted the whole day for no good outcome. will return it to shop.
What do mean auto shutdown??? Does it shut down automatically from time to time???? I am thinking to get this model.

I bought the Xperia M5 last year, gave me auto shutdown problems, took it in and they replaced it with a new phone, new phone started giving me the same auto shutdown problem after a month or two and the phone also fell damaging the camera, pictures are blurry when taken, no auto focus so i took the phone back in and after waiting 3 weeks they wanna charge me more then 4000 to fix the phone, I regret buying this phone!
My sony M5 is working exceptionally well with no Glitches.I am Happy customer.Best phone v ever owned

Turns off randomly, requires to be plugged in to restart. Therefore it has become a useless - yet expensive - "brick"!
Overheats so seriously that it cannot it be carried in a pocket. Even when no 3g/lte is being used
Sony distributors don't have any solutions - neither do seem to care or have any concept that their lack of care is losing customers daily as us "suckers" complain to those around us and disuade other potential customers from ANY Sony purchase!
Do not buy this phone - or any other Sony product as the company a) produces sub-standard, dangerous (overheating and crashing during critical communications / navigating etc) and b) does not service or support customers (in my experience)
C) doesn't publish updates which may be able to solve the many problems...
Dont buy Sony!
If this was a motor vehicle it would have been recalled!

Worse product ever. Malfunction after only 4 months. Took 1 month for the motherboard to be replaced. The same problem occurs within 2 hours after reclaim the phone from service center. Took the phone back to the service center and it toom them another month to get it replaced. Their after sales service is the worst!
