Sorry i miss pressed my keypad.
And even if it catches the signal, thats fake one which you are not able to use the internet. Like, you get 4g icon but no signal bars.
So what ive tried out is turning auto network search to manual.
And it works. Phone doesnt try to get the signal ruthlessly, and cut off where it is supposed to be. Because in the manual search mode, phone connects to the network which is only listed on your simcard.
So here is the new solution,
but to make sure to see it works, please revert back all the frequencies to default setting.
Setting> more> mobile networks> network operators, after searching finished, set the searchmode to manual, run the search again.
And dont forget, sony could have solved that with software, not just battery replacing. They are just bunch of morons.
After few weeks test, i have managed to solve my wife's m5 shutdown.
But im not sure if it will work on your phones, so I want you guys to test and if it works, please leave the comment for other m5 users.
What ive figured out so far, the phone tries to catch the signal where it cant, drawing out the phone batter voltage so much over its limiation.
Eventually, it leads the phone to shutdown in abnormal process

I have had the Xperia M5 dual for two weeks now. The shop I bought it from tried to disuade me from buying it directing me to other rival brands, but I stuck to my guns as I have been with the Sony Ericsson & Sony brand for 10 years now. I am pleased with it, no issues so far, the camera is awesome and phone is very speedy. I couldn't ask for more (maybe except a Z5).

Its been 6 months that i bought my SonyM5, it worked great in the 1st 4 months. In fact worked much better than the I Phone. However; started facing shut down issues far too often in the last couple of months had to submit the phone to the service centre and now its been 3 weeks without any resolutions. the service centre is so occupied with such requests, apparently all the M5's have the same issue. In addition to that, the service is mediocre. If I wouldn't have had a spare phone, this thing would have been very inconvenient. There is no point paying such a hefty amount, there are a lot of phones in the market with the same config or even better for a lesser price... Overall review for M5 (POOR)
