what RAM is reported on your system. Mine reported total ram of 2.53Gb not 3Gb as advertised. I am talking total, not available.

problems with the sony xperiaM5. when it goes on sleepmode. cant turn the phone one again. must use a charger to start it again, regardless of the fact that the battery is fully charge. hear form a lot of people that they have the some problem. so my phone is more off than on. when I dont have access tot a charger --- I am stuck with a phone that is useless. this is my second sony experia m5 this year -- the same trouble everytime. what is sony going to do about this problem. not happy.

My M5 but takes way too long (about 5 hours) to charge to 100% and battery drains pretty fast too.

Hey guys! Ive found a solution for random/auto shutdown problem for bullshitting m5
Ive been trying to solve the matter 3months so far as non technician, had to test few things.
It happens in certain mobile carrier in certain area.
In Australia, With telstra is fine, but with optus and vodafone was the problem when signal goes bad. And the optus and vodafone were in the same network frequency for 3g wcdma 900mhz.
For that 900mhz, even with other phones it gets overheat with bad signal i thought the frequency band is in congestion.
So i decided to turn it off the reception of the 900frequency and it turned out as working.
Ok guys here ya go the solution
Open the Dialpad
*#*#3646633#*#*
Engineermode> in the telephony tap, band mode> tick off wcdma 900 mhz> press set button.
Some said its battery problem but i dont believe them. I read the xda forum and it was irrelevant information.
Again, dont forget not to buy SONY product. Obviously they havent tested phone and did let you buy.
I will be turned back from sony forever from now. Good bye dirty doggy sony!Idiots
####Update for my solution.####
I just got to south korea
My phone turned off
This time was because of 4g lte.
Those who have shutting down problem on lte, follow my instructions and
Tick off lte band 8 aswell.

They officially claimed to be 3rd phone manufacturer following samsung and apple.
And while all the others work great with the same carrier, why only sony is doing the bad job as 3rd grade phone. Even Chinese phones work normally in the same network.
Get out of fantasy for sony plz

Umesh, 11 Apr 2016Hi guys i brought the M5 a few days ago, my phone takes approximately 5+ hours to full charge ... morejust bring your phone to sony service center, if you buy brand new M5 not a second phone, it still covered by warranty.. so it's free

bought xperia M5 March 27, 2016. It went off Arpil 8, 2016. I thought it was only lowbat so I charged it for 5 hours when I turn it on, nothing happen, phone is dead. I went to the sonny store, they told me that they have a problem like this on the first batch, but mine is not from first batch. So there is a problem on this kind of unit. Pls sonny don’t sell defective CP.
