I just recently bought my phone and had to send it to repair after 5 days of using it. At first they said that they want to change the battery. One week later, the day i was supposed to take my phone, they said that the motherboard needs to be changed. It took 3 weeks to replace the mboard. And when i wanted to pick it up, they said to wait for another week to change the battery. Whats the problem that they had to change the battery twice? Is the quality of sony THAT bad or the workers are just lying pricks. Either way i'm not gonna buy another sony phone. The product has been bad and the service is the worst.

bought the Sony Xperia M5 on the 13th of December n it works 95%,everything works....its only the temperature,the phone over heat for basic use
before buying sony xperia m5 i checked all website..but i checked gsm arena the comments are very bad dear samsung lovers dont make sony down by writting such bloody comments sony always sony.i fear to buy this phone by this comments now i own sony xperia m5 its such a nice phone nice finishing nice speed m happy with this product . its a awesome phone with this range u can go for it.camera is really cool.

The issue existing inside M5 is called 'battery lock'.
Old battery rev is 2 or below...while new battery rev is 3.
Follow the instructions below to check whether ur M5 is facing 'battery lock' or not;
this is my first sony experia, the phone shuts down very often. so guys if you planning to buy this model of sony dont ever think of it. its worst than cheap china phones and even the customer support center cannot help me with the problem. i tried all my possible ways to get it fixed but failed to do so. hope they give me my refund. the sony company makes shitty phones, they should probably change their business and start selling peanuts on the streets. i am frustated because my phone is just a month old

i went fr lg g4 dual. :-) this is my first lg phone. it has excellent quad display, dual sim, memory card upto 200gb, excellent camera, good call quality... i have got a good class memory card and a qc 2.0 support power bank... i simply love it.

Hi guys I also have the auto shut down and the bad camera issues but a fix to the "camera not avaliable" is to disable Google nows voice thing completely so that "OK Google" is off
Also can someone try and send a WhatsApp voice note and see if it captured your voice and if your microphone still works after that because on mine the microphone refuses especially to work after a voice note until a restart of the device
MK AHMED, 24 Dec 2015Hopefully this issue will be resolved and i can purchase this phone in january (South Africa) Hi Ahmed as I said before I got my phone back yesterday and they replaced 1 part (Sony won't say which part) and the gave me 5 software upgrades but the phone still has the same issue. Cell C told me to phone Sony directly because they lied about fixing the phone I am extremely upset and I don't want to have to carry a power bank for the rest of my life. So Ahmed to be deadly honest as much as I adore this phone I do not recommend it because at the moment it is in use able
i am very disappointed in this devise i realy liked it the most but i kept switching off itself within 7 days i returned it to the service provider and they replaced it with a new one but it keeps doing the sameting, i collected the new one yesterday but within a day it switched off itself twice!!! i wonder how sony will get this resolved because this it is clear that the whole batch is faulty. and i would like to get a quick response from SONY via e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org

purchased the same phone and i've had the shutdown issue on day 2. had to connect it to a charger to 'jumpstart' the phone. it works fine WITHOUT a sim card but shuts down after inserting a sim. i am also having trouble connecting to the internet in most locations whereas i normally get a 3G or LTE using my iphone 6. camera is not good, says 21mp but quality is as good as a 5mp. too bad i bought this phone from a reseller that won't accept a return instead just a service warranty of 7 days. obviously the phone is only a few weeks old or maybe months old since the reseller got it. the phone was just released 3rd quarter of this yr. i hope SONY has a fix for this. an update maybe so we can get the value of our money.
