It keep shutdown and unable to on back unless you plug-in ch... moreit happened to me before, it constantly back to it date, no sim 1 internet connection, it suddenly turned off, i think u need to replace ur sony m5 to your dealer or go to sony service centre for the replacement,,, your sony m5 has a manufacture malfunction like mine before... i have my phone replace on sept 28, 2015 till now no problems...

Just an addition of the M5 problems.
-Back cover popped out.
-Shuts down buy its own.
-Heating issue.
-Sim/Sd Card slot issue.-assosciated with heating-

Just sharing some bad experience..
I bought a M5 Dual E5663 with great expectations
But phone often shuts down by its own.
After connecting the charger then only it can power on again.
after 10 days, it happened again.My friend bought the same model at almost
the same time gets the same problem too.
Sony was a big and strong product before..this should not happen.
-used only for 11days and now have to wait merely 1month to get warranty claim. : (

Sony m5 user, 14 Sep 2015Dont buy this phone !
Just used a week, sometime it's auto shut down and cant turn on again! ... moreI own this phone. The problem is. It keep shutdown and unable to on back unless you plug-in charger then switched on power button. Anybody know what probably causing this or should I send to Sony service center?

Bouth this one a couple of days back, Initially faced some issues with USB Detection on OTG, Call Drop etc.. but fixed through some R&D. But there is a lag in the usage, which I've never experienced with HTC Series (One E9+, One ME, One M8, Desire 826 etc..). The Display is good and brighter even in sunlight and a superb build quality. The volume is loud enough and clear. Camera Performance is not as expected (Rear & Front).
Offcourse every phone will have few bugs, but the most annoying part is ur "wait a moment" situations are very high with this Phone after pumping in some 34,000 bugs. This could be because of limited 16GB In-Built memory.
Final Verdict: Pls go for HTC One E9+ (33,000 Around or HTC One ME 36,000 Around) if u wana best performer and value for money. Off course the new UI of HTC with Sense 7.0 gives u 1000's of customizable themes to have a new experience very day.

These problems are in Xperia m5 not in Xperia m5 dual....
So I suggest everyone buy only Xperia m5 dual

Bought one but ended up disappointing. Phone keeps turning itself off at random. Had to take it back to the service center for warranty claim after only 11 days of frequently-interrupted usage. Searched through the net and you will see this problem reported frequently in other Sony models. Otherwise I am really looking forward to use this phone.

Here are some points to note.
Sony z3- camera sensor imx220s
Supports high resolution audio.
Has Xreality engine.
Has more sensors to integrate with lifeblog app like step counter.check z3 white paper.
Has a lot of more sensors.
Has MHL.
Sony will definitely update to atleast 2 future android major releases.
Has better custom rom support as it is a Qualcomm snapdragon. Even if sony stops updating after another 2years.
You will probably find atleast one custom rom to use the latest version of Android.

Glass front and back.metal frame
Excellent battery life.
Sony M5
Camera sensor -imx 230
(samsung s6 has imx 240 and z5 has imx300)
Definitely superfast focusing.
13mp front cam .21.5mp rear cam
Plastic back and front.metal frame.
Mediatek helio x10 is a 64bit arm v8 processor,while the z3 has a 32 bit armv7 processor.
Microsd support upto 200GB.
Smaller battery.
Excellent low light video and images.I've seen the reviews.
Now I have finished telling details.
If you want better battery life ;android upgrades for the next 2 years ;definitely buy the z3.
But if not M5 is okay.
It cannot be 100% sure whether sony will upgrade m5 to android marshmallow because it is a mediatek processor.
You can decide. after all z3 is a flagship. But it is to be noted that 32bit and 64bit major difference exist between the devices.

Z3 or M5???my opinion abouth the m5 is a good one.. only problam i had with these two mobile abouth the multitouch..even whitepaper also said that m5 support multitouch up to only 4 fingers..but a reviwe showed that m5 really support multitouch up to 10 fingers..Some of people underrestimate the helio chipset..but it proform really fine..even GTA V is working on it without any issue..no lag at all..really in india it is selling to a highprice..but in sri lanka it is sellige to a price between 390-410$..so i think it is a good midrange..guys this is my opinion about m5..but i really hope your help guys to make a choice between m5 & z3...thanks guys..i hope a good answr.

Gud pm guys... i bought sony m5 last sept 22, 2015 at sm cebu city, before i have a problem in the battery but it does not resolve my network problem at sim 1, only sim 2 working as my internet... yesterday about 50% of my battery it suddenly turned off for unknown reason, i try many times to turned on but failed... after 16min, i try to connect it to charger it suddenly turn on... and it says 52% battery... and now it turn off again... i try to turn on but still resulted negative... i think my mobile has a problem... i am going to sm cebu city to replace my sony m5... feeling disappointed right now...

Of course, that is an American mobile phone and made by wood/lather and so on! By the way, this phone has got a 13 MP secondary camera while Moto's is only 5 MP (but with flash). Good luck. I am a Moto fan :)

I bought sony m5 in the sm cebu city philippines... last sept 22, 2015... i have two postpaid with internet smart (sim 1) and globe (sim 2), I'm having trouble connecting internet in sim 1 and only sim 2 get connected... i contacted the sony service centre at ayala cebu city... they cannot used the sim 1 as my internet even they already modified the setting of my phone for internet... still sim 1 not working for internet... Second.. the battery does not last long, it seems the my samsung s6 in ultra stamina mode last than my new sony m5 ultra stamina mode... pls comment regarding my problem... thanks...
