Hey guys....I would like buy m5. Any country has this type problems in sony m5?..plz rep me...what are they countrys in most this type problems have? If you have any prob? What is your country? Plz help me.
I bought and used this phone as my daily driver for at least 2 and a half months . I would suggest people to buy phones like Oneplus3 cuz the m5 kinda sucks . The device isn't completely waterproof as my device got water damage (flaps were closed very tightly 100%) , but luckily the people at sony service center is able to help me with my problem . Now the display is not working and I dont know why . I'm disappointed with this phone as it cost me rm1599 and my moto G is performing better than the m5 dude .

Another hard reset is red button inside simcard tray but ot will reset phone to fresh os and delete all your picture and setting(if you save picture on your phone)
i bought my m5 dual last February 2016. I've got no issues other than heating which i believe it is true to all units with almost the same hardware.
New XPERIA M5 mobile phone is frequent hanging very much disappointment. Pl return my money back
i bought this phone here in widget city an online shop here in manila. after i updated the software, my phone's screen started to flicker rampantly and I have to shut it down to use it again, and the front camera won't start. will bring this back to the shop since its still under warranty. i will update you regarding what will be the outcome. i guess its disappointing what had happened.

I tried waiting for 30mins then reopen, no use.

There is no "patch" for the auto-shutdown issue. This issue is endemic to phones manufactured before November 2015. The only solution is to change the battery. Certain hardware changes were made in later batches such that heating is reduced, shutdown is eliminated and performance is improved.

I was not a Sony user previously but since I am looking for a specs with a better photo resolution, I believed Sony got it and that would be the main reason for the major changes of my decision to change to Sony. However, regretfully, after only four (4) days of purhasing Xperia M5 Dual smartphones with a value of RM13++, the first experience I got was its auto-shutdown problems. Thankfully, it is still under warranty so my pity husband went to your Sony Center in Bukit Bintang but had to go back home due to the amount of crowd at your place and patiently, he went back there at 9am on the next day and waited patiently for your center to be opened at 10am. When my husband submitted the phone for repair, it was informed by one of your colleagues that it is normal for Xperia M5 Dual user to experience this kind of problem (???). Without complaining any further, we waited patiently and one (1) week after that, your center contacted us to collect the phone. Once again, my patient husband was the one to collect the item (13/6/2016). I was excited to get back my phone (seeing the amount I have to pay two weeks back, who wouldnt?!) and for once on that night, I am able to browse through apps and all the settings with no auto-shutdown problems. However, once again, regretfully, today (14/6/2016) after sahoor, your product has once again dissapoint me when the screen went blank all of the sudden. I have tried to restart the phone but to no avail. I am sorry but I am too dissapointed with your product and has decided to trade in this phone and went back to the old brand I used to purchase. Thank you for all those gloomy experiences I got with your product. And believe me, since part of your mission is to move me emotionally, trust me, I have been MOVED.
