Sony Xperia tipo & tipo dual has been released in India.
Now u can see the MRP price and specs here:
I am posting in details in next post, read that also.
What the hell with Sony India Support Centre an Flipkart.com!!!?
Flipkart still says expected release: 2nd wk of Sept even after its officially released and available everywhere.
And Sony India Support is worst ever support centre who does not have update of their own products even after release! They r in India for Sony products to release and serve but the worst ever thing that they r like street dogs who know nothing and only bite d customers with crazy and outdated comments.
I think those r not human in Sony India Suppor centre, their quality is lower than the street dogs!
Still today, they say they have no update! But I finally compelled them to say these r released and prices.

And it's no surprise that hvga screen res. is not a gud one for movie watching.
when the phone release in Indonesia, especially in Jayapura-Papua ?
AnonD-56684, 11 Sep 2012Yes neo v could handle 720p videos.although it didn't have hardwired xvid/divx support but it ... morea 16:9 video always have the resolution of 854x480 pixels, not 800x480p.(a step downgraded version is 640x360p)
world's 90% of videos are made using this ratio(16:9) these days.
having a handset(miro, tipo) which has a 3:2(aspect ratio) screen is not good for videos at all.
AnonD-27666, 11 Sep 2012But in miro's white paper or in WEBpage, sony hasn't mentioned the word "HD".
not e... moreYes neo v could handle 720p videos.although it didn't have hardwired xvid/divx support but it could be solved by 3rd party players.
I think miro would be able to handle videos upto res of 800*480 since xperia tipo which is already reviewed by many websites has the same.but no hd playback for miro.
And yes the price seems steep.style has taken the place of performance in sony's new lineup i think(talking about both miro and j).
AnonD-27666, 11 Sep 2012I think Sony has seen it's rivals are selling their handsets at a stupid price and got inspire... moreace plus n desire c both wr launched at 15.5k..arnd couple of months before..now ace plus is availabl arnd 14.8k n desire c arnd 12.5k as u said....desire c is a waste considering its CPU...but wat abt ACE PLUS? ace plus has bigger screen 3.7"..better cpu 1ghz..so i guess its more value for money dan miro...wat say..?!?!
n m lil confused over here..if they launch miro arnd 14.5k den wat wil J cost? 17-18? whoah...in dat price u will get sola wid better processr(Dual core)..n if they launch j arnd 16k who will by miro den if u r gettin larger screen n better cpu by spending jus 1.5k more...i think sony is messing wid their own devices here...!!
AnonD-56684, 11 Sep 2012I agree with u.the software decoders in the third party players like mx/mobo can only provide ... moreBut in miro's white paper or in WEBpage, sony hasn't mentioned the word "HD".
not even for a single time.
so what to expect?
I've got a neoV earlier(720p feels like butter) and now it seems pretty hard to convince myself to having a handset that supports only 360p.
which costs huge as 14k :\
AnonD-66133, 11 Sep 2012Hahahaha...SONY has made a big big joke wid us...i saw the price on flipkart yesterday night n... moreI think Sony has seen it's rivals are selling their handsets at a stupid price and got inspired from them.
few examples are - Samsung Galaxy ACE plus(15.5k) , HTC desire C (12.4k)
as compared to these both, MIRO's price is fair enough i guess.
AnonD-27666, 10 Sep 2012You said it well man.
MSM7225A hardware video rendering is limited to VGA resolution.
But co... moreI agree with u.the software decoders in the third party players like mx/mobo can only provide support for codecs or formats like mkv,xvid/divx,avi.i don't think they can really influence the video playback resolution if the phone doesn't support it.i maybe wrong but it doesn't seem possible.
Having said that if the manufacturer wants i think it can give the support in the stock video player of the phone out of the box by tweaking the software a bit even if the chipset doesn't support it natively.eg micromax a100 also as snapdragon s1 cortex a5 cpu.it can only shoot 480p but can playback 1080p in the stock video player itself.
The reason i think for that is that the default player is deeply baked or integrated in the OS while 3rd party players r just apps.however they do come in handy while playing various formats xvid/divx or subtitle support which in most budget phones isn't supported by the stock player.but i don't think they can influence the video resolution if the phone's programing doesn't allow.
Hahahaha...SONY has made a big big joke wid us...i saw the price on flipkart yesterday night n suddenly fever came..was suffering whole night..!! Mental shock u knw..!! :D :D :D ;)
If this is the price..then its a Epic fail..no doubt..!!
Lets do one thing...lets go to sony india page n lets post there wid links n lets comment how costly...what made u think dat ppl will buy this fn for dis money etc.... :P
dp, 10 Sep 2012The price of Xperia Miro.. is too too too expensive.... its ont worth for this Phone... better... moreprices will reduce rapidly.like xperia u first came to sri lanka as 44k equal to 18 k inr.now it is 30-28k eqaul to 12-13k inr
dp, 10 Sep 2012The price of Xperia Miro.. is too too too expensive.... its ont worth for this Phone... better... moreYes, online preorder price of miro is too high, 14.5k INR. If this phone really comes in this price, it will be a BIG LOSS 4 Sony. People will switch to another model or brand. I will not buy this if it not comes between 12-13k INR.
Now lets see what Sony declares during official release which will be held soon.....
The price of Xperia Miro.. is too too too expensive.... its ont worth for this Phone... better to go for another Brand now... SOny Xperia miro is not worthy in abt 15k INR price... Pribe amount is too large.... Sony should reduce price immidiatly.. otherwise this will be biggest FLOP phone for sony....
akashtripathi, 10 Sep 2012they are officially released in india .... manIf these r really officially released in India, then why will Sony India support centre and flipkart.com deny their release? Doesn't flipkart.com want to get customer and are not they updated? Acc. to u, why they will hesitate to say "Its released" even after the release? This is bcz they r about to release shortly and r not released till now and thats why everyone is making stocks to ship urgently after the release. Or do u think other way?
Sorry, its not my intention to disturb u or hurt ur feelings. I said bcz I don't get proper justification of ur reply.
