how to totally close application? my battery drained faster. i think there are more application that is opened that needs to close to save more battery.. HELP!

I bought this a phone as a recognition gift and that was like 2 weeks ago and my phone started to act a bit laggy and unresponsive. at one time, my phone suddenly switched off by itself just listening to music and some updates cant be activated. the battery drains ALOT even in idle. but overall its still a nice phone. but needs jellybean update.

These are some that specs of those you may want to consider for gaming
X-J = 1GHz, 4 inch, 1750 mah battery, jb, but 2 finger multi-touch
X-Sola = dual core 1GHz, floating touch(which consumes a lot of power. Can't be disabled.) 3.7 inch, non-removable 1320 mah (a hastle if your phone stalls. Will have to wait for the battery to deplete), ics, 4 finger multi-touch

need to reinstall OS. either give it to sony service c... morethanks guys. my sony neo l is back on track.updated with the pc companion & it really works great.
