Dhruv, 04 Dec 2012The phone looks an amazing buy but with the battery life doesnt look so good.... plz provide w... moreBattery is merely over 1300 mAh But, I must say, Sony’s engineers did great work with this masterpiece. Fortunately and unbelievably battery easily lasts long a day with moderate usage like an hour listening music, hour of surfing, watching videos, 3-4 games for an hour. Don’t know how this piece is so power efficient. Xperia P is the first phone supporting Extended Standby Mode feature from Sony. When u lock the screen or turn off the display, this feature disables data traffic and background data usage like whatsapp, google, facebook synchronizations. This helps to optimize battery lifetime. As battery of Xperia P is non-replaceable, this feature provides great help.
i purchased my cell sony xperia p 2 months back and i have also udated the software ,,But i am facing the issue with whatsapp application as it is not connecting and i m also not abl to uptae my status is is showinf the message
Unable to connect .Please check that you are connected to the internet and try again.
Please reboot your phone if your connection problem persists.
However all other application which are using internet are getting connected to internet properly.
So I don't think the problem is with internet connection.

Anonymous, 12 Dec 2012I heard if you factory reset a phone. it effects the battery timing & life. Please tell me... moreFactory resetting any smartphone erase all memory, therefore battery calibration file got deleted too.
Therefore, after any factory reset (or phone repair through SUS or PCC) battery life seem short because it takes couple full cycles (charging to 100%, discharging to 0%) for calibration file to recreate correctly.
After 2-3 days battery last to it's full extente (one day of normal use).
I heard if you factory reset a phone. it effects the battery timing & life. Please tell me is it so?

Tasfique, 11 Dec 2012Did u come across any other bugs? Cause the camera bug can be fixed easily if u r rooted! No I didn't experience any other bug apart from camera (which occurs seldom) I don't use Xperia Facebook (some reported bugs with that too).
I can't root my phone because my bootloader is locked (telecom branded phone), so I can't 'solve' camera bug by putting some older firmware camera app code. The solution is to wait for Sony bug-fix, or some new exploit for rooting phone (like bin4ry had with this ADB security hole).
