Was it possible to modify the system on chip like NovaThor chipsets which were supplied by vendor ? Adreno is Qualcomm's proprietary GPUs embedded onto their Snapdragon and Krait family chipsets, and Mali GPUs are intellectual property cores produced by ARM Holding developed by ARM Norway and implemented by several vendors such as Samsung, ST-Ericsson, STMicroelectronics, Spreadtrum, Rockchip etc but never by Qualcomm.
if the 2nd whitepaper is the right one then why the still providing the 1st whitepaper..?? Does it varies frm 1 to another country..?? Plz sony give us the ri8 whitepaper. I bot the phone a week back and its amazing. The display is too good. It is more or less similar to xperia s. Except that s has a 1.5ghz proc and a 12mp cam. I love the camera in P. Everything is really gud except the battery. with moderate use u can get one day of usage and with heavy usage u may finish ur battery in >12 hrs

Xpert, 04 Jun 2012Never ever buy this phone. Battery life is bad. Can never last you for a full day. Without WiF... moreu own dis phone?
picture quality is not good...........
This phone looks weird with its plastic cap at the bottom and the plastic part at the top...And why no lanyard hole?? No Sd card ? Looks like the phone was designed by different people who were not in the same team.
The NXT 2012 serie is just a first try from Sony to make phones after getting rid of Ericsson, soon they will make better phones when they will hear why customers are not happy with the phones
the camera shutter key is not working! pls help me!
A, 04 Jun 2012dude i hope u r right about screen brightness!!
m not a heavy user-around 2 hrs of music play... moreI bought the Xperia p 1 week ago, black one, the back of the phone is not easily scratched, although i put in the
jeans pocket, the screen is quite clear, screen set to auto brightness, 8-9 hours battery life with (3 hour opera mini browsing with 3G, half hour opera mini browsing with wifi, download 300 mb of video file with wifi about 2 hours, 2 hours of video but with 3G and wifi off, 5 sms, no calling,1-2 hour not doing anything), fast charging, it only took 1.5 hours to charge from 0, very fast there is no lag at all, capasitive buttons very responsive, not able to play heavy game like doraemon fishing ....
It's priced very competitively but at the same time leaves some things to be desired.
For instance 1 ghz dual core cpu is very gud for midrange devices like xperia u or sola but for a device like p which is kind of upper midrange it's nothing extrordinary.(though i m not saying it's bad).
Then we have the battery.i didn't try to find any logic behind a 1305 mah battery for a 4" dual core droid coz there wasn't any sensible one.yes p has white magic technology that takes the advantage of predominantly white background webpages and save certain % of battery.but then again we'll not browse everytime there r other tasks too.it failed miserably on video playback (@gsmarena) giving less than 4 hrs which is really pathetic. browsing webpages with white magic technology wasn't that useful too as xperia p performed below average in browsing too.
Afterall what can u expect from such a small battery.

m not a heavy user-around 2 hrs of music play, 2 hours of surfing and occasional game playing like angry birds and an hour of talking per day- thats about it. no 3g calls or video playback for me(at least currently!!).
i think battery life will last for a day wit this usage...right??
AnonD-31885, 15 Jan 2012why no card slot ???? card slot is very important this time ?? special for android and windows Trust me it's not, just look at apple iphone and HTC one x, one s, one xl, all of this is because a dedicated interior memory is far better than an exterior one cuz the speed rate of interior is far better.
