After seeing the phone in real i am disappointed. The plastic bottom cap is just ugly, and the phone is quite thick. Too much space wasted on the front, could have been much smaller. Back to Samsung...or maybe they could bring the nice SX but i doubt it...

When reading the review battery results remember that the screen is far brighter than other phones. At the tested 50% level setting the Xperia P is 50% brighter than a Galaxy S2 and 100% brighter than a Sensation.
The Xperia P battery should actually outlast the Galaxy S2 both on phone calls and on web browsing. It's just poor testing and display of results that are deceptive.
i almost always put my S Note on 0% brightness so I imagine that with the P, you can make it last longer than tested ....

sony plz design a 2000mah battery for this beast n roll out ics update fast...
why is this xperia seemingly shorter than the xperia sola when the dimensions are proclaimed to be longer?
The phone is great, and according to you guys it battery doesn't last long but again according to you guys it's screen doesn't need to be set on 50% at all so it must and will last longer with lower brightness especially for me, I use my desire on the lowest brightness possible in doors.
Anonymous, 01 Jun 2012would you guys do a hands on? I wanna buy it and i need to know what exactly I'm buying cuz on... moreSo the only bad thing i saw was the battery, is it worse than my HTC Desire? I hope not cuz im buying this thing!! :)
for those thinking of buying a new sony NXT (S / P and U) and are concerned with the speaker sound so do not buy because the sound sucks,
tried them all and the sound of the xperia arc s is better
I had two of these delivered yesterday (silver and black). The hardware is absolutely amazing and is up there with the iPhone in terms of build quality. However, unlike the iPhone, it's let down by the slow/jerky/laggy software. All in all, a beautifully crafted device but would be better with something like iOS or Windows Phone instead.
All that glitters are not gold. Think before you buy. See this link... http://blog.gsmarena.com/sony-xperia-p-battery-life-gets-tested-1305mah-found-lacking-by-whitemagic-creen/

i have read the review of xperia s and it is very encourging, you may find it as your new phone.
frankly i always thought that xperia s was just done quickly before sony bought the old company sony ericsson but seems that i am mistaken.
have a look on it no single mouth word was said on the review and i hear new opinion that the battery issue is fixed and it lasts for 3 days.
the only thing that set me apart from xperia s is its size when i put in in my pocket i feel it is quite large i hope they can put what is in xperia s in 4 inch but seem it is not possible right now from technical point.
also i haven't tried xperia p in my pocket since it is not yet out in my country but it may have the same feeling in my pocket
anyway good luck in your choice and it is wise to be away from xperia p
Just read the GSMarena review... Very low speaker, terrible battery, no ICS, no memory card, microSIM only. And obviously from the video samples, autofocus has problems too.
Was hoping to buy it, but now definitely not the phone i want. GS2 will be a better choice for me.
AnonD-10768, 31 May 2012Can anyone answer if Xperia P has a "lanyard inlet" for using straps like the Xperia... moreYes it does have the lanyard :) I also absoulutely can't live without that on a phone
I am really disappointed by the battery life. Being a corporate user and constantly on calls and mails, I really need decent power. Nothing spectacular... but atleast a guarantee that i will last a 12-hour day in office without having to worry about battery.
I think the arc s is probably more relevant for me than these pretty looking nxt series of phones. or Sola.
Perhaps I should wait for Motorazr maxx anyways...
