With all it's very nice specs i was going to buy this one. Except when i noticed there is NO slot for a memory card. That was a MAJOR downer. Won't buy this one. The internal memory is not big enough. Almost. But not quite.
but its whitepaper says it has a adreno 205 gpu ...not a nail 400gpu...
hi friends, first think i want to say about inbuilt battary that's not good beause u don't have option to change it when it's got weak or hang and second think it has adreno 205 not maali 400.better to go for live walkman WT19i.

Can the battery be replaced by the Sony service center? Or the mobile is dead once the battery is dead?
Sony provide good mobiles with excellent features but some drawbacks like memory card slot, front cam. why sony?

Now if you compared the Xperia S to the S2...or 3, then the Xperia S would win. Its the first fully decent smart phone of this generation to have a 12megapixel camera and the first smart phone to be HD everywhere. Its also got more Pixel density aaand looks much sexier. Its even got a Bravia TV engine in the screen. The Amoled screen makes colours look unnatural but yes, very bright. Ive seem pictures on many of my friends phoned with radioactive grass lol.
For a mid ranged phone at £20-£25pm is incredible.
Can anyone answer if Xperia P has a "lanyard inlet" for using straps like the Xperia S and Xperua U?
Thank you :)

Thing is, taking a live demo will only help in resolving the display tinge issues, which if you have seen the image comparisons on the link i give, is pretty serious. But that I assume can be resolved by keeping the brightness at low, I seriously don't need the highest brightness level that the xperia p's got.
Battery on the other hand is something that can be talked about only people who use the phone. Now a lot of reviews have talked about 2 days of battery life with moderate use so till yesterday, I was sure that I would buy this phone... But now i will wait for more word of mouth about the battery. Apart from the battery, the specs and aesthetics of this phone is spot on!

If battery lasts for only 10-12 hours with low usage, then it's a deal breaker. If it's a software related issue, it can be fixed, I hope it is. I will hold on buying a phone till I hear more. I am now tilting between sola and p.

this is worrying!won't go for this phone.

AnonD-10027, 29 May 2012so many comments for the battery of xperia p...don't worry its a great battery on the phone...... moreAgree with you. I've been using it for 4 days already since I bought it and for me, the battery life is not bad at all. The time taken for a full charge from under 5% battery life to 100% is fast too. It is a good phone but I wish I can have more storage space in it. It is still enough for me now but I'm not sure whether will it be sufficient for me in the future.
Im using a samsung galaxy 2...firstly it has a bigger screen so it gives a better hold and feels nice to use(girls notice the difference more). The super amoled screen is something unbeatable as i have not yet seen a phone which has an equally bright display, it has a card slot too. The downside of S2 is that firstly, its a year old, still more expensive, the battery drains too fast, and im guessing that the sony people must have provided with a better camera than samsung but both are 8mp, though the secondary cam in S2 is 2 mp.
All the new phones they are launching have SD card: Sola, Ion, Go, Acro, GX, SX,... Why some genius in the marketing departement decided not for this one ? Could win so many more buyers. Obviously they now have realized they made a mistake with phones without SD cards...I prefer to wait for an XperiaP-like with SD card, quite soon i guess if you look at the rate Sony is launching new phones now.
