Most new high end phones now will require micro SIM...it is an evolution made by every company, but i don't like cutting my SIM...and having to use an adapter for other phones.
Like SD memory card became micro SD...
I guess all new SIM will be in micro format from now on, i don't like it. Actual SIM are small enough.
Nicolas, 25 Apr 2012Micro simaccording to the official photo on sony's website it looks like it is a regular sim, not microSIM:
what do you think?
when this phone will be available.
aren't sony going to change its old way of announcing phone and thn release it after 5 months
this is false strategy and has proved its failure along past years
i read some opinions that xperia p has microSIM slot, but as i see the photos of the phone on Sony's official website i think that Xperia P comes with a regular SIM slot for the normal SIMs not for microSIM.
See for yourself and post what you think. Here you can view the sim slot:
Olien, 27 Apr 2012Battery is just 1305 mAh for a 4'inch smartphone. Sony - is that intentional??? :(How could it be unintentional? You think they told the supplier to just send them any battery they felt like sending :)
Did you read about the new processor or 'white magic' technology?

Why would anybody want to have a phone without a memory expansion slot (micro SD)??? Is there an advantage to the consumer?
Now that this phone is delayed it is going to be really odd with it not coming out with ICS. It would be far more efficient to just release it with ICS now.
raju, 26 Apr 2012In india the mobile company manufacture only one sim...that suits all mobile phone...pls tell ... moreI highly doubt that your mobile company manufactures SIM cards. They will be made by a subcontractor.
Ask if you can get a micro sim, you may be surprised. I am living in a completely backward telco country and I can get one.
It is easy to get a micro sim. It should be cheap for most people. I live in a ripoff telco country and it is about us$20 US to get a micro SIM and us$5 to buy an adaptor if you want to continue to be able to swap the micro sim into a non-micro sim phone.

raju, 26 Apr 2012In india the mobile company manufacture only one sim...that suits all mobile phone...pls tell ... moreThe different between a normal SIM card and a Micro SIM card is the size, else they are identical. You have 2 options to get a Micro SIM.
1. Cut your normal simcard to a micro simcard.
There is youtube clips how to do this. Or you can buy a simcard clipper to do the work, costs few bucks from amazon or ebay.
2. You go your provider where you got your simcard at first place and ask them to switch to a micro simcard. That may cost few bucks, but some do it free.
