1305 ma Battery on sony mobile ... guess we will have to charge every 12 hours .. lol
80hrs is real only if you turn off gsm, wi-fi, 3g, gps and others functions, use hardware playback and special codecs.
aside from having an external sd card based on sony website, screen says it has 4'' but on sony it has 3.22'' err who tells the truth @_@
Perfect phone for me: perfect screen size, amazing processor, great GPU, Sony tech, awesome camera and the Android OS!
Hope they price this phone moderately!
Some websites say its 449 Euro. :(
That's nearly equal to the Xperia S,why would they do that? Hope that's just a rumour and this one'll be priced well!
Wonder how durable this product is. Have SE Xperia X10, since it was initially released. Sad to say, they don't make products with Sony name, like they used to. I would certainly like to see how durable this one is before actually buying it or recommending it to anyone.
Its funny, if you see how Sony prefer to sell technology to other manufacturers (camera to Apple)m but fail to produce anything for the consumers of its products.
For my next phone, I will surely think twice before going in for a phone with Sony in it. I started with the T200, then the T610, later to K800 and now to X10. from what I have observed, Sony use cheap parts for their products, and use technology that is sure to become redundant. Look at the chargers for the T200/T610, then at the charger of the K800. Even look at their memory card M2. When are you going to learn?
Guyz nice specs exept battry bt 1 thing gonna notice iz dt d phone cmbines al in 1 in a premium unibody mettlic brick ..nd hv no opsn to open exept service centre so wht we gonna do if the phone gones hang...???? Cn any 1 guess and kindly reply or shre dt qns ..
Attention-grabbing phone! As much as I like the design, I don't favor the font in which 'SONY' has been etched. The earlier 'Sony Ericsson' font used to be more attractive than the current one.
Coming to the specs, they are quite impressive. A 4" qHD screen, dual-core processor, 1 GB RAM, 1080p HD video recording, 720p VGA front camera, 16 GB inbuilt memory, Bravia Engine, HDMI port.. all these make a very good mid-range phone. I really hope Sony has taken care of speakers and battery.
Everything said, Sony should put up a decent price tag for this. Maybe something around INR 20,000.
Surely the battery is the disappointment here - on an otherwise impressive sets of specs
Ppl the battery will last much loonger than any other droid in the market because they are using the SOC with the lowest power consumption. The NOVATHOR soc is consumes 50% less power than its counter parts. They are coming from the Power management masters who used to manage symbian AND BlackBerry power management solutions
BillY, 27 Feb 2012Obviously if they chose to give 16 Gb memory in the phone it is because there is NO memory car... morehow do you account for the official sonymobile link accounting for the specifications? wrong or mistyped?
and the design seems perfectly okay, it's only about personal choices.
the battery should do well, considering the facts that it houses a novathor processor, as well the the new sony brightness technology.
samsung sucks big time, my friend, that's my opinion!

this li... moreObviously if they chose to give 16 Gb memory in the phone it is because there is NO memory card.
And very weak battery, only 1305 mA
And phone is much too long, many space wasted up and down the screen.
Why can't they make things right...Maybe that is why Samsung is going so well, by making their phones right from the beginning
this link to the sony website,
specifications of the Sony Xperia P, says
that the phone has a card slot, microSD
upto 32GB expandable. could you please
clarify the same, gsmarena?
