Xperia P - for 'pointless'?
No external memory card slot and a maximum of 16gb internal storage (which in reality is about 12gb once you've done the gb translation and installed software...
Xperia S - for 'second-rate'?
Not Sony-bashing here (I want one - bored of Sammy!) but this sudden resistance to put external memory cards in - and of course have specs too similar to last year's models... is a bit worrying...
Let's hope Hayabusa and Mint aren't tablets or the Ion... and we have a couple of big hitters at MWC for Sony...
Xperia Play 2 anyone?
gagan, 28 Jan 2012it looks like arc sAre you mad?
Nothing like the Arc S or any Sony Smart Phone ever made...
I'm liking how the phone and the spec's are quite good for a mid range phone. However I think the battery is a slight let down. I understand the chip makes the phone allot more efficient but wouldn't it be better to give it more than average battery so it has long talk time to give it the edge over other phones.
Robert J Lichota, 20 Jan 2012What is the problem with sony... not being able to go past 4 inch screen. Robert LichotaEh? You're funny. It's been a year since arc went out! Then you are now bashing sony not doing anything bigger than 4 inch screens. And it seems that you are really proud that you have put your name on it. BWAHAHA.
Robert J Lichota, 20 Jan 2012What is the problem with sony... not being able to go past 4 inch screen. Robert LichotaXPERIA Arc and Arc S: 4.2-inch screen.
XPERIA S: 4.3-inch screen.
XPERIA Ion: 4.55-inch screen.
Yep. Sony cannot go over 4.0 inches.
Robert J Lichota, 20 Jan 2012What is the problem with sony... not being able to go past 4 inch screen. Robert LichotaYeah, sure... You don't know ANYTHING about smartphones. Sony has a lot of phones that have more and much more than 4". So, please don't speak about something you really don't know ;).
Robert J Lichota, 20 Jan 2012What is the problem with sony... not being able to go past 4 inch screen. Robert Lichotadude tell that to Xperia Ion (cannot go beyond 4.0'' we'll see about that)

I think the picture is not right. It is from the MT27 Pepper and is ugly. The LT22 Nypon looks like the Arc, and is much more beautiful.
Anonymous, 16 Jan 2012laugh my behind off. am i reading right? did it say it has a 1320mah battery? surely that ... moredood novathor uses 60pc less battery ... now see the power of android on novathor with long lasting battery life .. :)
RamyRamz69, 16 Jan 2012The Novathor chipset uses about 60% less battery than ARM and Snapdragon..Hmm uses 60% less battery then Arm and Snapdragon?
Well thats weird, because the technology behind the Novathor U8500 chipset is a low-power ARM dual Cortex™- A9 processor, ARM® Mali™ 400 GPU and NEON®CPU extensions...so ARM all the way...
laugh my behind off.
am i reading right?
did it say it has a 1320mah battery?

- Dragontrail is your answer
- That's reserved for high ends, which this is not. Your precious S2 has a 217PPI value BTW
No card slot,16Gb internal
- White paper not yet released, specs here are merely speculation
- Which equals 1280x960 at 4:3, and that translates to HD720p video chatting. Think your service can actually maintain that bandwidth? *smirks*
And why the hell would I buy this over SG2?
- No one asked you to, this is the replacement for the Xperia Neo V, a midranged phone. It's launching price will reflect that as well, being significantly lower than the GS2 at launch.
