AnonD-999151, 17 May 2021i wonder why they add the viewfinder support to the other phones then? does the use of usb-c t... morei have never used a UVC capture card dongle, i assume it will work better with the micro-HDMI cable. Dongles make audio quality worse using wired headphones so i assume that same concept applies here. i dont know

beep bop boop, 17 May 2021im pretty sure a direct micro-HDMI connection would work better than a USB-C to UVC capture cardi wonder why they add the viewfinder support to the other phones then? does the use of usb-c to uvc capture card mess up the quality or something, or is a direct micro HDMI connection just more likely to work at all?

The differences is that the Xperia Pro can connect to HDMI output directly, while other Xperias (like the Xperia 1 ii & 1 iii) require a UVC capture card.

is there really any reason to get this now? 1 II now has its key feature (and iirc 1 III is getting it too), you just need an hdmi to usb-c adapter. the sorta rugged design is cool but there are surely cases for that.

This thing must be some kind of joke? Ok its for camera enthusiasts but it doesn't actually work. A pc mag reviewed one of these and its 5g connectivity was intermittent and the camera wouldn't work properly and the software was throwing up errors. $2,500 is what this monstrosity costs. Youd be better saving your money and getting a regular Xperia flagship that actually works. Id be more than upset if id bought this for so much money only to find out its killer features dont work 😂

For everyone complaint about the price go and find a 4k OLED view finder I promise you it will be more expensive and have less features
